When I make this, it's all I eat for a couple days, I don't eat anything else and I have it with coffee. I do use splenda with it, but because i rarely use sweetners I get away with it and it doesn't effect my sugar. Quoting: sluttina keto cheesecake, with a pecan, walnut, almond flour, cinnamon, vanilla, 6 packets of splenda and butter crust, I didn't measure but I stopped pulsating it in the food processor because it started to look like it was turning into peanut butter. I bake the crust on 300 for 25 minutes, then let it cool before putting the cake in it. the filling is just 1 package of cream cheese and a whole container of cool whip with 8 packets of splenda and a couple splashes of vanilla whipped up, but you can use a pint of whipping cream instead of the cool whip, cool whip does have sugar in it, the amount doesn't spike my sugar and I still maintain my weight. Don't use the cool whip if you have health issues like diabetes. best fucking pie. :ketocheesecake: Yummy You can make a pistachio cream one too Sugar-free pistachio pudding or any flavor you like Cream cheese Whipped cream Make the pudding per directions Whip the cream cheese with sugar substitute or just use vanilla bean paste to flavor it Pour pudding over crust first, then cream cheese and top with whipped cream ~With forethought and malice Whitless enacted an EO giving nursing homes immunity from wrongful death prosecutions, forced them to take in infected patients and is responsible for over 6500+ nursing home deaths~ |

What do you guys use to thicken sauces and gravies? is that how you make a custard, eggs in coconut milk (canned or in the dairy)? for gravy i use whipping cream or a can of coconut milk mostly the cream part with a little of the water depending. It doesn't have any flavor and you can make it will taste like what ever you are thickening. I don't actually make a gravy maybe its more of a sauce these days. |

How much have you lost ? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 36207979 I did in the beginning because I was buying every sweetener available trying to find one I liked and I hated them all except for splenda. I never used artificial sweeteners before. I also bought coconut flour and I only used that once and hated it because it has a strong coconut flavor. I do use almond flour still and I have my first bag I bought of it, I keep it in the freezer so it doesn't go rancid. Now we actually spend less because we eat less, cook less, waste less energy and cleaning products. it's a pretty big savings as long as it's kept simple. I find bacon for $11 for 3 pounds and when it's on sale $9 at a restaurant supply store, that's where I get the cheese from too. I shop at Aldi and I usually buy the meat on sale there or I get frozen turkey in a tube, that's way cheaper. I've always looked for lowest prices. I lost 30 pounds but I got really fat doing the blood type diet, I was eating carbs like crazy and was always hungry. I don't get hungry or hangry anymore. I would like to lose another 20 pounds and get to my high school weight but that might be too skinny. I'm stalled and have been for months it could be my age and hormones. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75467421 I tried stevia and it tastes artificial to me. I just didn't even bother with spending more on the monkfruit. If you are worried about insulin spikes, that's why most people look for alternatives, liquid splenda doesn't spike insulin, I have that too and use it sometimes with my splenda packets. As long as I don't use it daily, I don't, I don't drink soda's either but occasionally I will get some diet root beer. I think it's ok in small quantities and not a regular menu item. I heard halo sucks and the carbs aren't lower than bryers sugar free, and I think bryers taste better. I have some in my freezer, been in there for months, i don't crave sweet often. |

I can go two days without it and still wake up with the taste lingering. I have not read of any bad effects from it, but this can not be good. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76443092 there still isn't any long term studies on stevia, they must be waiting to see if us guinea pigs get sick from it. I think stevia tasted like the other artificial sweeteners. |

If you have any of your own please share them. Quoting: sluttina ketogenic is a low carb high fat woe (way of eating), typically no grain carbs but I like to have a low carb tortilla every now and then. food prep is very important and bacon is a staple. I fry at least 3 pounds every 2 weeks. I've tried so many methods on how to keep the splatter at bay, baking frying, I was always getting a huge mess until I saw one of these on the internet, a splatter guard. :splatterguard: It comes in 10 inch and 12 inch, I haven't tried it yet I was just seeing how it fits on a 12 inch pan. I ordered it directly from China at aliexpress and it's way cheaper than going through a middle man, 1/3 of the price, I paid $10. waiting for bacon pic to upload, the easiest method I found was to chop up the bacon into bits and it's just the way everyone likes it. Fro bacon, I use a griddle insert in my outdoor grill. No splatter, no lingering smell. |

A cheap $129 gas grill and a stainless steel griddle will get you going. If you keep the cheap grill out of the weather and use grill mats and a griddle, it will last a long time. I upgraded to a higher end grill several years back and bought the additional griddle inserts for it. When I do bacon, I go for that thick sliced stuff and grill up 4 pounds at a time. Zip loc it up and microwave when needed. Beats the heck out of that paper thin pre-cooked stuff that hormel sells. |
