I eat them daily usually after a meal, in chia seeds or just when I'm hungry but don't have a taste for anything, they usually fill me up. I keep them in my freezer so they don't go rancid and I buy the chopped pieces because they are cheaper. They don't freeze but taste nice cold. Quoting: sluttina :ketowalnuts: My favorite nuts are almonds. Just make sure to get the salted ones. You need some extra salt on keto. |

I don't have a problem with my electrolytes. I was getting cramps in the beginning because of all the water loss and my doctor tested me and I was normal. she said the slightest fluctuation will cause cramping so I don't need to worry about it, she's monitoring me and I get blood work done every couple months. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 76464639 United States 04/19/2018 06:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yes people that get cramps don't jump and think you need more salt or potassium, it's likely just a slight change in sodium, nothing to supplement or panic. Unless your doctor see's something drastically changing in blood work, don't self diagnose and start drinking a jar of pickle juice. |

I cut the ends off of the asparagus then put it in a bowl with olive oil, crushed garlic, salt, pepper and rosemary. I carefully wrapped the bacon around each piece and then I brushed the left over oil and seasoning on top. I didn't leave it in the oven long enough but it should go on 400 and I didn't time it just kept an eye on it. I also put it on a rack so the bacon would crisp up. It might work better on a high broil, at least it won't take so long that way. :asparagus: |

I have some leftover cauliflower from a big salad, i'm making faux potato salad with it today but I want to try this casserole too. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 76464639 United States 04/22/2018 12:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | just made a faux potato salad, it came out better from the other times I made it because i didn't use the food processor and just tore the cauli in little bits with my hands. I used half a head of cauliflower, 10 eggs, chopped up pickles and pickle juice, celery, cilantro and mayo. I didn't add any seasoning because I think the pickle juice and mayo do a good job on their own. I like my potato salad more tangy,. :fauxcauli: |

Powerade Zero helped me with the cramping, it also adds potassium, sodium and magnesium to your diet. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 76464639 United States 05/02/2018 08:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I used 2 leeks, cut and cleaned well, lot's of dirt inside those. I saute the leek in one whole stick of butter and only black pepper until soft. I let it sit covered for an hour to cool off and soften more. then I beat 8 eggs with a whole bunch of feta cheese that was in brine, not sure how much cheese but enough for it to look cheesey in the egg mixture. I add the leeks into the eggs mix then pour in greased pie crust, today I greased with olive oil. Put that in the oven on 350 for 30-40 minutes. I'll post pictures in a couple hours. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 76464639 United States 05/02/2018 08:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've been avoiding leek because I thought it was high in carbs and it's only .8 carbs a leaf so a meal is probably around 5-6 carbs. It's also super low in calories, 4 calories a leaf but it's not very nutritional, but oh it tastes soo good! if you haven't tasted, it's like a very sweet onion with less carbs and sugar. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 75903542 United States 05/02/2018 08:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I found a picture of the egg salad. Quoting: sluttina I made cauliflower rice with an entire small head but next time I will only use half, I made that in the food processor with fresh cilantro. I chopped up 11 boiled eggs, 3 celery stalks, a whole bunch of pickles, added pickle juice and mayo. It tastes almost like potato salad, and that cauli rice is amazing in this dish! I fried up some chicken thighs in almost an entire stick of butter with just salt and fresh chopped cilantro. it was soooo good! sometimes the best meals I make are when I just wing it with what I have at home. :fauxsalad: Careful of your thyroid with all the raw crucifers. |

This10000xThis User ID: 76700095 United States 08/10/2018 04:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This was the thread that opened my eyes to Keto. Down 40 pounds since April just cutting out bread and switching 100% to black coffee with butter/HWC instead of Starbucks. I've messed up a bunch but have always come back. Two seperate vacations have no helped either due to diabetic family members that have no value of research and ridicule Keto due to fats being bad for you (Told to them by their Doctor) but stuff their faces full of carbs with are killing them slowly. Below is my Keto diet summed up in a nutshell. I do a combo of these and currently can pull off 35-40 carbs a day and stay in Ketosis due to my lifestyle: For breakfast I have one of the following: - Bulletproof Coffee - Bacon/Sausage and Eggs w/HWC and w/Almond Bread - Coldbrew Coffee with HWC For lunches/dinners I have one of the following: - Ribeye Steak with Brussel Sprouts/Asperagus - Chicken Thighs in different types of 0/low carb marinades or dry rubs served on top of califlower and brocoli blend - Chicken/Beef Liver with vadelia/white onions and Normandy Blend of vegetables - Salads with Caesar/Balsamic Vinegar Dressing w/Chicken Thighs and Parmesean Cheese (Tend to use the coleslaw blend mixed with a third of a head of iceburg lettuce) - 5-6 large chicken wings smothered in Franks Red Hot Wing Sauce (Along with a side salad based on the above salad) - A a rack of ribs that weighs 1-2 pounds at a time (Dry rub with Keto seasoning or Keto friendly BBQ sauce) served with brussel sprouts w/chopped bacon - Almond Bread with Pastrami/Corned Beef w/Hot Mustard and Swiss/Provolone Cheese and a small bag of BBQ prok rinds. I buy in bulk, portion control a lot of this, prep it ahead of time and then freeze until ready to pop in an oven for an hour as I do a quick workout daily to help my body out. Then I head to work with this where I walk for 4-6 hour a day as part of my job then head back home to do light weights and rinse and repeat. I friggen love Keto. Healthiest I've ever been in my life and eat so much better than my friends. |

In the other pan I fried garlic and onion in coconut oil, added the uncooked shrimp, curry powder and fish sauce, then I added the coconut cream and liquid from the can after the shrimp was cooked and added more curry and fish sauce to taste. I topped it with fresh cilantro and a little lime wedge. grass fed sardines |
