With all the false rapture dates that have come and gone, you'd think people would catch on at this point. More important, the Bible clearly states nobody knows when. For the life of me I cannot understand why people who claim to believe the Bible will take the word of some snake oil salesman over the Word of God.

Actually Goofy, I say this with respect, Jesus was talking to people of that age.

He says in the same book the generation will know because these things will happen. he gives a list of things to watch for, and many of those have happened.

So couldn't it be that he was talking to their generation and not ours?

And he gave us clues in the scripture to be watchful of, that we have indeed seen?

Doesn't he say to be waiting for he will come as a thief in the night?

And even use a parable of the bride's lamps and oil?

Maybe Satans minions have been twisting the meaning so that many will not be aware because they weren't watching for the signs?

I do believe we will have a very good idea of the timing- but not the precise timing.

He tells us to watch and be aware of what’s going on around us- which I do. But I don’t try to pin point the exact day and minute. I also think of the feast of Trumpets, the priests know about when the new moon will be visible, but not the exact moment.
