It is said (by many) that Jesus had no Eve. They are fairly serious in mind and willingness to die, that he never have an eve in history. But, he also did not discuss the book of Genesis, the writings of Moses per se. In that book Eve is an afterthought. So, you have to understand the chronology of the bible, in history, before thinking that you know shit from shinola.

Re: California wants to ban the Bible. Um, what?!
If you guise actually read the bible you'd laugh. It's actuall yhandled by very careful men these days. Why, if someone wanted to use the bible recklessly in theiur eyes, such a one would be like the devil unto them. But what is the most provacative part of the bible if not the very sad moment Adam's head is fucked with and he actually has to ask, for Eve. In the moment where it becomes actual or metaphor, is where the rubber meets the road. The other points are also of merit: Godlike power has the ability to make them feel shame and to deny then eden, and to curse them until some date.

Re: California wants to ban the Bible. Um, what?!
I'm not for outright banjo,g of any nook, but the bible truly is dangerous, as while nothing more than a book of bronze age fiction and myth there are those foolish enough to try to pass policy bases on its writing, or tell another person how they are to live.

Luckily, it seems that as the years go on less and less people are buying into the hogwash.

Its a good fairy tale, at points, but that's all it is.

It is a fact that a large portion of the stories date to the bronze age, or thereabouts.

It is a fact that the method of relaying the information contained in the stories is via mythic language aka Joseph Campbell (hero's journey, archetypal characters etc.)

It is a fact that some people believe these writing to be literal.

It is a fact that there are those who attempt to push policy based on the ideas presented in this book.

It is a fact that there are those who attempt to regulate another persons life based on this book.

It is a fact that the younger generations are moving farther and farther away from bronze age religions et all in the western world.

You may disagree with me, and that is fine and dandy but you do not get to say these are not facts. In the words of Trump denying that the above is factual information is "WRONG!"

In Canada, the laws are already in place to make this happen.
They just haven't announced it yet.
With the laws protecting transgenders feelings, pronouns and promoting homosexuality - it is only a matter of time before the Bible is banned here.
The laws have already been passed and enacted. All it takes is one event instigated by a Liberonazi to have the judges rule this way.

Sources for your data which disputes these facts? Lets start with the timeline. Whonare your sources for suggesting another timeline other than the bronze age?

Ill post mine after you and then we can really have a decent debate. Its possible I am wrong and it predates the bronze age, so I'm,very interested in your academic research

reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to

Re: California wants to ban the Bible. Um, what?!
Good. Ban it along with the Koran, and any fundamentalist BS.

When will people start believing in REALITY over imaginary unproven supernatural beings only spoken of in ancient texts?

I guess fantasy is much more comforting than reality, that's why so many people cling to it, no matter how obviously fictional their religion is.

If only we lived in a world where we could say "You believe what you want, and I'll believe what I want, and we'll get along regardless."

No. The fundamentalists are intent on imposing their nonsense ideologies on the rest of us. They can't live and let live, they want everyone to believe the same as they do.

I want to live in peaceful world where everyone gets along but the fundamentalists prevent that for all of us.

One day their God will be judged the same way we judge old gods like Anubis, Thor, and Odin now - as entirely fictional with no basis in reality. Most people just haven't admitted that to themselves yet.

That's fine. It's not my goal to impose my atheism on others, but it does seem like the goal of Christians and Muslims is to impose their ideologies on the rest of us, and it will never happen.
