Get a memory foam mattress topper first to check it out. Memory foam has its drawbacks

"memory foam" = 9/10ths regular foam with some memory foam on top.

I bought a Lucid brand 10 inch memory foam and I dig it. Good nights sleep for sure.

Ive had the memory mattress for a couple years and my back hurts each morning. It felt great for the first few months but then its memory set it to the curves as I sleep resulting in no support whats so ever.

I have enough set aside now to buy a good quality regular mattress, and I will never purchase a memory foam ever again.

Memory foam scares me. Too chemical, too weird that it does not retain its shape.

I do like my flippable mattress. no fluffy top.

my take on memory foam is NO. i you sleep in one position all night it's probably fine. but if you need to turn over you have to slightly wake up to dig yourself out of the hole in the foam. only to do it again next time you need to adjust. thankfully i never bought one. learned my lesson from sleeping in a bed i was house sitting for.

Yup, great in cold winters but when summer comes they are awful. They heat up beneath you and becomes unbearable tbh, and the sweat.... lol.

This is OP. My conclusion is yep, the foam mattresses are hot as hell, id rather stick with a spring mattress. Added a "cool" to the touch memory foam, and it increased the heat in the bed 2x. Then i added some 1800 count bamboo bed sheets.

I'm going to avoid foam mattresses at all cost.
