United States 04/27/2018 09:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | PROPHECIES: does Daniel predict north and south Korea’s newfound ALLIANCE? “After some years, they will become allies. The daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to make an alliance, but she will not retain her power, and he and his power will not last. In those days she will be betrayed, together with her royal escort and her father and the one who supported her.” —Daniel 11:16
I wonder: does this refer to North and South Korea? Could this be an interpretation of biblical prophecy for modern times? The daughter of the South could be Park Geun-Hye, who was the former president of South Korea and the daughter of Park Chung-Hee—also a former president of South Korea that was assassinated. She was betrayed by her fellow South Koreans an impeached on multiple corruption charges. The “one who supported her” doing various illegal activities was Choi Soon-Sil, the daughter of a cult leader in South Korea. “In those days” could refer to end of times days—as one could argue her father betrayed her (many saw him as a dictator so to speak, hence he betrayed her family and her in that sense).
If “he and his power will not last” does this then refer to Kim Jung-Un? It says she went to the king of the north but didn’t retain power—this is true in a sense as she did make efforts to establish contact with North Korea but ended up not retaining power after the scandals involving her broke out (i.e. she was betrayed by those she trusted).
Now I’m not particularly religious, however I can’t help but find the sheer volume of biblical prophecies converging towards fruition to be anything but interesting. Given the times we live in, I think it’s worth considering how these prophecies biblical and non-biblical are realized within the modern era in which we live.
I’m very intrigued to see or discover more prophecies that can be interpreted as occurring in contemporary times, and, as a consequence, would love for you all to post any you think or find relevant in a similar vein as that as I’ve presented here.
I just thought it’d be intriguing to have a thread that attempted to present real-modern interpretations of various prophecies becoming fulfilled—if for no other reason than to record the way/rate at which these increasingly bizarre instances reveal themselves as occurring. Especially, given the context of this recent and startling occurrence/development in the koreas that Kim and Moon are working towards creating an end to the Korean War.
