I stayed in the Village of Volcano for 5 days once, approximately one mile from Kilauea. What's the condition of that main hwy, that runs through there now? Hwy 11 I think it is. Yes that lava is brittle, porous, and sharp like broken glass. I'd be very careful walking on it. If you broke through it would cut you up pretty good.

That 2.6 19 kilometers S of Pahala was off shore and on that seamount. I understand aftershocks, but possibly that was rock falling, underwater, as it would have a different signature than a quake.
