Donald Trump signs bill to renew NSA's controversial spying law

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump has, unsurprisingly, signed into law a bill renewing the National Security Agency's (NSA) warrantless internet surveillance programme.

Trump confirmed the signing of the bill on Friday, saying on Twitter: "Just signed 702 Bill to reauthorize foreign intelligence collection."

Section 720 of FISA was created on the basis of 'national security' following 9/11, it was later outed by Edward Snowden as a mass spying programme that enabled the US government to snoop on American citizens and foreign nationals.

No, it's not BS. Against the objections of a lot of privacy loving people and AFTER Snowden blew the whistle on how this act was used to spy om Americans, Donald Trump signed the law's renewal and then the number of spied upon call records TRIPLED.

I feel quite confident whatever "spying" was done, was based on National Security.
