Can Facebook still track you if you clear your cache and use a VPN?

Facebook has your IP and can theoretically associate it to requests coming from other websites (like a Facebook like button on a non-Facebook website) and probably through cookies.

If you didn't navigate to Facebook under the same IP (using a VPN) or not and did not log into Facebook on that same browser its probably not likely that they are able to track it or associate that traffic to you.

A VPN is useless. Everything has a beginning and Facebook is shrewd enough to know where that beginning is.

if you're planning to make a criminal threat, they'll involve the police who will get a warrant for your lying VPN provider and be on your doorstep pretty quick.

A typical browser sends a lot of information. These pieces can be used to determine your identity based on whether otlr not you have given information before on the same operating system non vpn, etc... The best way to do it is download VMware player, install a Linux system as another operating system on your computer and only use that Linux system for things like what you're wanting to do on fb. Use a bridged connection so that virtual computer accesses the internet through your host computer and be connected to q vpn on your host or main PC. This way you don't have to worry about your normal computer activity gaining cookies and other things fb cookies can track to identify you.

VPN's fold pretty quick when law enforcement has a warrant.
Those that don't can't last long.
They're not going to jail for some nut's $5 per month.
