The Israeli leader was seen by Putin's side as they watched the annual Victory Day military parade in Moscow, held to celebrate the Soviet Union's victory over Nazi Germany in World War II. Netanyahu has vowed not to allow Iran to entrench itself militarily in neighbouring Syria, where Israel has been repeatedly accused of carrying out deadly strikes, with reports of Iranian forces killed.
