kicked Apple to the curb today. The results are IN....
After 20 years I finally kicked MacOS to the curb today. The final straw was Excel. I code games in excel using VBA - video poker, football, etc., all with damn good graphics, but quite frankly I got fed up with the stripped-down, dummy-downed version of all the Office products in excel. So, I installed Windows 10 and Office 2016 in bootcamp.

The results....

WOW!!!!

Game performance has taken a tremendous boost and I don't have to deal with the shitty way Excel for Mac handles background images. In fact, everything runs lightning-fast compared to MacOS.

GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE!!!!

BTW, I'm a retired mainframe systems programmer. Been slinging code since early 1980's. Why did i get a macbook in the first place then??? Easy answer... I had to tweek and fix code for over 30 years and wanted something I didn't have to fiddle-faddle around with. But with the way Apple has gone downhill in the past several years, I'll take the fiddle-faddling any day. The Macbook Pro has a great screen and an unbeatable track-pad, but that's all they got.

I feel the same way about Mac. I’ll never own another one. I have a windows 10 box but two running different distros of Linux. They are just easier and more efficient to work with, as Macs have turned to crap on the software side.

I feel the same way about Mac. I’ll never own another one. I have a windows 10 box but two running different distros of Linux. They are just easier and more efficient to work with, as Macs have turned to crap on the software side.

I just had an idea I call "Box Score Betting" where you fill in the box numbers for a game for each inning, quarter, period, final score.

It would be the powerball of sports. You could also make it so the top 25%-50% closest scores get an incremental payout.

The problem is Microsoft Office for Mac runs like shit. You know that’s a Microsoft product right? Of course they made it run like shit on Mac to make their miserable os look good.

Since you obviously work for Microsoft, can you tell me why Server 2016 has Xbox game saving arrives built into it out of the box? When you guys copy and pasted win 10 code, you should have the left the shitty xbox stuff out of your crappy server OS. And all that touch pad shit built in.
