Anonymous Coward User ID: 75682252 United States 05/14/2018 04:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | May 14, 2018 [WILD N' KRAZY]—Over the weekend, we spent time out in public, asking young adults their opinion on religion, and the recent US embassy move to Jerusalem. While the majority rejected both ideas, there were, however, some young adults that supported both. Quoting: Just Saying... 37514126 According to recent studies, church attendance is the lowest in recent history, while Millennials and young adults, 22 to 35 years of age, are by far the least likely age group of anyone to attend church. In fact, only 2 out of every 10th person younger than 30 years of age believes that attending church is important, while 60% of all Millennials raised in a church have dropped out; moreover, 35% of Millennials believe that church does more harm than good. As usual, all names have been changed to protect the identities and privacy of all interviewed persons. All persons interviewed are between the ages of 18 and 35 years of age. We asked everyone the same questions, based on their answers: WILD N' KRAZY: “Do you attend church regularly?” WILD N' KRAZY: “Why do you attend church?” WILD N' KRAZY: “Why have you chosen not to attend church?” WILD N' KRAZY: “What do you think of the recent US embassy move to Jerusalem?” Amber, 18 “No” “I don’t attend church because I am way too busy with school and work; I just don’t have the time, and if I do have a day off on Sunday, I would rather spend that day relaxing and hanging out with friends.” “I really don’t know anything about it, really...” Scott, 29 “No” “I see no purpose in church. Church hasn’t changed anything in this world—things just keep getting worse.” “When do we start making America great again? How does this decision help Americans that are struggling?” Tristan, 34 “Yes...my kids do.” “I think church is a great thing, because they offer so many summer programs that my children enjoy, and, our church at-least, does a great deal of charity work that helps our community.” “It’s Biblical...isn’t it? Honestly, though, I see the decision as a bad decision, because it will only strain relations even more.” Jake, 35 “Hell no” “I don’t believe in bronze-age fairytales; and I haven’t seen any man-God, either. I guess there isn't enough proof to convince me that I need a church or religion to rule my life.” “If people are still fighting and dying over fairytales and religion, more power to them. I don’t care what they do, as long as the stupid shit stays over there.” Ashley, 27 “No” “I grew up a long time ago. [laughs] I honestly don’t see a purpose in church. Yes, they do a lot of charity work, but so does a lot of other non-religious non-profits.” “I think we should stay out of it, and keep religion out of politics. Let them fix their own problems.” Cody, 31 “Yes” “It’s better than having kids run the streets, and getting into trouble. Church teaches morals, something most Americans forgot.” “I support it; Arabs will always be pissed about something, so we may as well piss them off doing something that needed done long ago.” Justin, 24 “No” “For what? [laughs]” “When do we start worrying about our country instead of Israel and the rest of the world? Let them fight their own wars, and fix their own problems.” Greg, 26 “No” “I don’t have the time.” “I had no idea that was happening... Why should America care anyways?” Whitney, 23 “No” “I’d rather do something fun... [laughs]” “Where is Jerusalem, and why should I care? While the majority rejected both ideas, there were, however, some young adults that supported both. Quoting: Just Saying... 37514126 According to recent studies, church attendance is the lowest in recent history, while Millennials and young adults, 22 to 35 years of age, are by far the least likely age group of anyone to attend church.
