thinking... User ID: 76498567 United States 05/16/2018 05:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | LOL, no, it's not good unless you want government censorship, paying more because huge streaming sites like commie Netflix don't want to pay for what they use and high demand streaming slowed down so stuff like gardening tool supply sites can be "equal". Sheer stupidity and dangerous for freedom of speech - IOW, the shitlib/megacorp usual pile served up as "fairness". In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.” – Nasseim Haramein, Director of Research for the Resonance Project |

I also assume this must be legislation to do an end run around the FTC, in which case, Trump can veto it. The internet has always been "neutral" and it's the GOP trying to change it at the bidding of their corporate masters, not Obama. Pull your head out of your ass and do some real research on the topic. Everything Obama did should be overturned and the sooner the better. LoneStarRising |

Good thread op Alright good because i thought it was good but didn't know 100% Just so you know, the comment above you is a liberal troll here and the post is a lie. Youtube censorship has nothing to do with this. It's because Google is a bunch of globalist Trotskyite rich fucks shutting down conservative voices and any other ideas they don't like. Net neutrality mandates MORE censorship and prison sentences for violators who get prosecuted. NN is a Stasi liberal's dream which is why Obama supported it. Because they are not in control now? It’s important that the speed in which they want the internet censored completely is slowed. Anything that allows people to still air their rights to freedom of speech needs celebrating. |

Ending net neutrality means TURNING OVER the internet to Comcast, Facebook and Google and giving them carte blanche to control what you can see and at what speed. Don't you get it?? |

Sheer stupidity and dangerous for freedom of speech - IOW, the shitlib/megacorp usual pile served up as "fairness". It is already censored name me one fucking torrent site! Agreed and that's due to copyright issues. Net Neutrality allows for censoring "obscene and annoying" content. Of course, commies will be the judge of that and that means porn stays but conservative "Nazis" who "annoy" with their political opinions can be prosecuted. Net neutrality has only existed since 2015. In that time, censorship has gotten FAR, FAR worse (Google, Youtube, twitter, for example)and costs have gone up. Bottom line is liberals and big corporations want free speech shut down and the corps don't want to pay the extra access fees on large streaming sites that require lost of bandwidth. There fore, the cost gets shifted to smaller customers - all in the name of "equality". Liberals are evil. You should know that. Thankfully Obama the lord christ and savoir came up with this great law to make these evil internet providers comply with government regulations. After all if we can't have the internet controlled like another utility, how can we trust anyone but the government to regulate and keep it safe?????? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 73577072 Netherlands 05/16/2018 05:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Net Neutrality was a form of regulation that kept things on the internet as they always were. Comcast was trying to charge extra for delivering netflix, they went to netflix and told them to pay for the bandwidth, which costs them 0$ that their customers were using. The regulation under the previous FCC chair protected online service providers from the internet access providers who already have monopolies in most of the US due to unregulated mergers. Then Ajit Pai, A former verizon lawyer became chair and decided that the monopolies should be allowed to charge for the content you get over the internet. This isn't a partisan issue, it's a corporate issue. Should internet access providers be allowed to charge content providers for fast access to their content? Are then willing to pay subscriptions for content on the internet, knowing that money goes to the same company that charges you for giving you internet? |

Well lets see, Netflix wanted to use more bandwidth without paying more, it seems they wanted preference over other websites without paying for it. Seems like a pretty liberal policy to enforce private companies to charge the same no matter how much bandwidth a company is using. |
