VERY FEW ladies can wear short shorts.
Too many women (teenagers and on up in age) have too much fat on their bodies to wear short shorts/skirts and tight shirts. Me included. I admit I'm fat (about 70lbs overweight, have lost 50lbs). I definitely don't wear "stuffed sausage" clothing. I have more respect for myself and those around me. UGH!
I work in the apparel department at Walmart. It's scary what adult women think looks good on them. AND what they allow their teen and pre-teen girls wear.

People born between 1959 and 1970, were mostly skinny as whips, and as pre-teen and teens we all wore cutoff jeans so short you didn't need to remove them to fool around. Male and female.. And girls liked to ogle the guys in shorts too...I remember class reunions where women spoke about how they liked it like that. I remember girls in shorts with barely any crotch left holding the front and back together. And wisps of fur sticking out. I still can't (won't) wear shorts that go to my knees; if my knees can't breathe, they aren't shorts. But I stayed skinny, still same weight as I was in 1977. Still enjoy seeing a woman who reminds me of the days of tank tops, tube tops, and honestly worn out cutoffs that took 2 years to fit perfectly.
