New short shorts trend for women!

VERY FEW ladies can wear short shorts.
Too many women (teenagers and on up in age) have too much fat on their bodies to wear short shorts/skirts and tight shirts. Me included. I admit I'm fat (about 70lbs overweight, have lost 50lbs). I definitely don't wear "stuffed sausage" clothing. I have more respect for myself and those around me. UGH!

I work in the apparel department at Walmart. It's scary what adult women think looks good on them. AND what they allow their teen and pre-teen girls wear.

Its probably the only good in this world.

we were all skinny back in the 60s & 70s - everyone wore them back then.

I don’t have a butt for short shorts. But I’m moving towards skirts and dresses anyway. Maybe they’ll make a comeback when the liberals go down.

People born between 1959 and 1970, were mostly skinny as whips, and as pre-teen and teens we all wore cutoff jeans so short you didn't need to remove them to fool around.

And girls liked to ogle the guys in shorts too...I remember class reunions where women spoke about how they liked it like that.

I remember girls in shorts with barely any crotch left holding the front and back together.
And wisps of fur sticking out.

I still can't (won't) wear shorts that go to my knees; if my knees can't breathe, they aren't shorts.
But I stayed skinny, still same weight as I was in 1977.

Still enjoy seeing a woman who reminds me of the days of tank tops, tube tops, and honestly worn out cutoffs that took 2 years to fit perfectly.

On the other hand, there are some that just want you to think they are "trashy".

I've known a few that would wear short shorts, but then could flip and put on an evening gown and still have men drooling over her.

I have often said women walking around dressed like that is tantamount to a large strong male pushing people around and generally disrupting his immediate environment. Both the scantily clad sult and the big, buff bully are detriments to the social order and should be scorned.

It was markedly less obtrusive in that less polarized time of the 70s.

Exactly... men are hard-wired to look... and if you are married and with your wife/kids, how does that go over?

When I was married, I still looked. She was not the jealous type and also had a nice ass of her own even after two kids.

With this trend for young women to wear extremely short shorts, I am reminded that women did not dress like that when I was a younger man...and I am depressed by it.

If women had dressed a little more provocatively when I was younger, I might have noticed them.

I've seen 70s TV reruns. Even the men wore short shorts back then.

This isn't new.

I'm a little under 5'4. Long shorts look stupid on me. Short shorts it is.
