Donald Trump busted for lying about NK meeting in Singapore

Trump tweeted that after having canceled his June 12th meeting with Kim Jong-Un, he might go ahead and reinstate it for that same date. After one of his own people admitted to the media on background that it wouldn’t even be logistically possible, Trump tweeted this in response: “The Failing NY Times quotes ‘a senior White House official,’ who doesn’t exist, as saying “even if the meeting were reinstated, holding it on June 12 would be impossible, given the lack of time and the amount of planning needed.” WRONG AGAIN! Use real people, not phony sources.”

It took all of about a minute and a half for reporters to expose Trump on this. "Wrong" and "phony source" Trump says"?

“I was there. This was a background briefing given by a senior administration official in the briefing room!” He then added “Matt Pottinger is the official. Introduced by Raj Shah. It happened in the briefing room. And there is audio available. The president lied. Since POTUS did not honor the agreement by claiming this was faked I do not have trouble naming the official.”

And here is audio of the WH press briefing. You can hear Raj Shah, Deputy Press Secretary, introduce National Security Council member Matt Pottinger and then Pottinger makes the statement that Trump says was never made by a White House source that doesn't exist.
