Second graders at a Louisiana school wish their parents would get off their phones. Elementary school teacher Jen Beason said four of her students told her they wished phones were never invented after giving the class a writing prompt. "I don't like the phone because my [parents] are on their phone every day ... I hate my mom's phone and I wish she never had one," one student wrote in a photo posted to Beason's Facebook page that has since been turned to private. I was not on the phone all the time but my son talked about "phone mom's" at his soccer games when he was only in 2nd grade - and said he was glad I was not one of them. I was at the time on the fence about getting a smart phone and purposely made the decision not to get one because of his statements. Its been years now, he is about to start High School and I still carry a potato old school style phone and am thankful I never gave myself the addiction. Its sad going to places like Disney World a few years ago, being in one of their beautiful restaurants and looking around at all those families on their phones at the dinner table. Its just sad. These kids, its heartbreaking.
