To me, the original post makes it sound like an actual naval training exercise happened, when the imgur link just seems to show a test alert message. I tried searching, I couldn't find any announcement of any navy exercise (I did find announcements from other years and other locations, like Guam, however).

Maybe they were just testing posting alerts, maybe the test alert was part of some actual exercise, hard to say. I'd imagine that there would be times when they might send out a test alert. A single supposed screenshot doesn't say much of anything.

Except exercises are usually coordinated with other US agencies. Something like this would be coordinated with the USGS (seismic sensor network), NOAA (buoy network), FEMA and other DoD branches USAF (Military Airlift Command) for logistics of relief supplies; USN, Coast Guard for search and rescue operations; Army Corp of Engineers and National Guard to assist local agencies.

More like an underwater nuke that destroyed Fukushima.

The USS Enterprise was 60 miles out and had to do radioactive clean up protocols on that day.

Back in WW2 the New Zealanders experimented with tidal waves caused by explosives to wreck beach defended.

Old tech, but still used.

had three awful tsunami dreams a couple/few nights back. 1 on one night, the other two the following night

first, i was driving, with my family. this huge wave was sweeping cars away, people screaming, knowing they were doomed. roads were jam packed too. dont know if word had got out it was on the way. the rest of that dream was me desperately trying to drive to high ground, and every time i thought i was safe, a new surge would make the water go higher again

second, i was in a theatre, watching a concert, with a posh lady in red singing at the front. next thing, the whole building was engulfed in very deep water. no warning. i wasnt affected, as if i was just observing. as i watched, everyone in the theatre floated to the top of the building and out through a window, or hole in the roof, bubbles escaping from them, as they drowned. the lady in red said something, or tried to say something, but i cant recall it now. the vision of them all simply floating up and away was haunting. spooked me out a bit that did.

third, i was ON hawaii. lots of crap going on, EQs, and i knew volcanic action was going on too. some low green hills were in my vicinity, and as i watched, someone said 'it's gone' and hills around me started dropping down. where i was stood didnt drop though, and someone said 'run', and as he said it, this massive wall of water just reared up in front of us all. rest of the dream was trying to survive, in various scenarios, trying to escape onrushing water

these dreams are getting worrying

That video is fake news. The guys from Honolulu Civil Beat have confirmed that most of the shaking seen on their feed is from the wind. They're super zoomed in so even the slightest movement caused by the wind is exaggerated on screen. If you listen closely during the bigger shakes you can hear a bag flapping in the wind. That's the bag they used to protect the camera itself from the elements.

Not saying they aren't having frequent quakes, they are, but not the way the guy in your video is saying.
