Yep, very true.

I went into teaching and lasted 5 years before throwing in the towel.

Recently a friend's daughter who has just started teaching advised that most of her friends who studied teaching have only lasted a year and left the profession. One girl was shocked to see that kids of 8 were sending Dick Pics!!!!

Truth be told...if more school kids had access to guns, it would make some wars look like well....

I love the idiots that gave my post 1 star. You are the product of horrible parenting. Otherwise, why would you oppose this post? Funny, not one of you had balls (or brains) enough to actually comment.

Too much freedom is like not enough.
It's kinda obvious when you look at this particular situation and it's the same problem with society as a whole.
You guys are overdosing on freedom.

The essay can best be summed up by one phrase:

Notice that's not bad, mean or cruel intentions. It's good intentions.

Actually a parent. My kid went to a private school and they were put in time out for letting rubber tire chips slide down the slide. Why cant kids be kids anymore. Too many rules and regulations

And though she is a "conservative" 60% of teachers voted for Clinton so she SHOULD know by now the cause. But most people who claim to be conservatives are actually liberals on the slide.

how about classes 40%+ over packed?

Justifying your child's poor behavior.

Students should be required to attend sexual harrassment classes. Many of these "students" are sexually harrassing teachers on a daily basis.

Students, SHOULD NOT HAVE, access to teachers social media accounts or cellphones. Students are very sexually agressive towards teachers. This is all facts, yet the school systems don't talk about this behavior.

Don't know about the US, but in the UK if a parent so much as raises their voice to a kid they'll get reported to social services.

No wonder the kids act like savages.

80% of the moms in my area work and are inebriated with wine all night long. Just like they are going after the white man, they are not trying to destroy the white family, with work and wine. If you are smart and get your head out of your phone nosing on FrackButt and drinking copious amounts of wine, your family is going to fall apart. Your adult children are going to depend on you to pay their rent or house them and they will be drug addicts.

There is a night and day difference from the kids that have a parent home at least part of the time, whether it be mom or dad, many dads are able to tele-commute now. And please moms, get off the wine. It's just not cute. The babies with the wine-time bibs, with a pic of a bottle and mom's glass of wine is just not cool, it's a sign of some serious psychological coping issues.

You are part of the problem. How would it be if 20 kids were pouring chips down the tires and out of control. Let your kid play like an animal when it's under your watch and follow the rules at school.

My kid got in some mild trouble at school and when we spoke to the teacher, we expressed that we were fine with any punishment the staff thought was acceptable and my kid was punished for several weeks at home.

The staff was flabbergasted with our support of their decision and even more taken aback by our home-punishment.

It's definitely a thing.

My wife and I have spoken about this in the past, and our generation feels like they need to be constantly "making memories" for their children. Excessive vacationing to higher and higher end locations, (what little kid needs to go to Bora Bora every fucking Summer?) and a need to constantly build and maintain the illusion of a perfect home life, (mostly due to social media).

In addition, a lot of parents feel guilty for having to work 2 full time jobs to support their lifestyles, so they in turn, baby and coddle their children as a way to make up for their absence.

Just our little theories.

How ridiculous you are. Kids learn by play anf creativity. You must either live in a big city or maybe you are a liberal.

Essay should be on front page of every news paper this Sunday. There are still Sunday newspapers, right ?

Did you not understand my reply? When a parent makes excuses for their child's poor behavior, they are doing the child a disservice, and teaching the child to believe rules do not apply to themselves.

Many parallels to a certain group of people who lost in 2016.
