Fluffy Pancakes User ID: 76597584 United States 06/13/2018 06:30 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ummm....Yes. Entirely, 100%. It's rather a long story, but the bottom line is that I had a list of absolute requirements. I wrote down my prayer. All of a sudden, little things kept breaking at my work and I had to go to the hardware store to get the stuff to fix it. He became my personal assistant. Then started chatting me up, and I was like, "What?"..Then I made him jump through my requirements, and he never knew what they were because since I wasn't a super young thing anymore, they were personal and not common. He cleared every single one. The last was must like certain Monty Python flicks. And he brought that up, not me. And then I made him get tested for every STD because his history was extremely sketchy. He passed all of that, too. And then we got married. Be 16 years this fall. There have been some very difficult times, mind you. But with the complete certainty that YHVH put us together, we made it through those challenging times. He isn't who I would have picked. But he is the one my Heavenly Father picked for me, and we are good together and blessed. :) So, I'd say pray, and wait, and be still and listen to the Spirit. I believe there is someone for everyone, and if we seek what YHVH wants for us, it will always be better for us than what we would pick for ourselves. Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." Quercitin and zinc...Get it. Take it. The perfect partner is the one you are willing to make it work with. Most things are not worth arguing about - give it up Decide there is no divorce - and find another way to work it out Just shutting up and not complaining is a good start I prayed that I was sick and tired of looking for a husband and God just let a good man for me walk up behind me and tap me on the shoulder. When a guy did a week or two later Inturned around and thought "Are you sure God?" The guy was a rough tough leather jacket guy with scars that told me he had had a broken jaw and a broken neck! I usually went with quiet thoughtful nerds. We are still together 17 years later. No we don't finish each other's sentences ! We constantly interrupt each other ! I never have a clue what he is thinking - and vice versa! But we have some fundamental values in common - and some similar personality traits and enjoy outdoor activities and exploring together. So - be specific Inhad read - so my prayer had some quirky stuff so I would be SURE. I asked for a farmer with down to earth values- or raised on a farm - check - and I asked that he have a big white truck - because I had been dating a guy with a little black truck the year before. When I saw the big white truck - you could have knocked me over with a feather ! He had a small grape farm - and a regular job too. Oh well - this is my second husband - and a nice guy to ride off into the sunset with - companionship comes with compromise - and we have FUN - even if our version of fun is working the garden or shooting skeet or camping - as long as we are outside. If I had gone on my own - I would never have said hello. |

I keep praying that the Lord will send me a Godly woman who I can trust and finish our lives together. And... 3 strippers in a row. Nope, didn't meet them at a strip club because I don't go to those, I go to church! I met one on Facebook, after dating 6 months she tells me her past... stripper. I met the next one at church and same scenario... stripper. I met the 3rd one passing through my work and she seemed really Godly then the other shoe dropped after a few months of dating... stripper. Trying to find the humor in this, because I am emotionally wiped out and have given up. Is God's plan for me to marry a stripper? Who would want that? When a woman equates male=$$$ it damages their minds forever. I just don't understand what God want's me to do. I took ALL of them to church and it didn't work out. |

So God provided an ugly man for me to have children with since that was what I wanted desperately. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75544472 And I had beautiful children amazingly. People couldn’t believe two such ugly people could produce such beautiful kids. They said my kids must have been kissed by an angel. And so even though I never loved him, I did get my heart's desire. Thank you God. Wait till they get older, the ugly genetics will show then. |

We weren't looking or dating - met at a friend's house having a get together. She was recovering from an abusive relationship and wasn't too fond of men (which is understandable if you know what she had been through). I was tired of women and their stupid head games heh. Quoting: Resonance Rich Fast forward 12 years.. still married and have kids. We have had our moments/trials but she stuck with me during my hard times and I stuck with her during hers. We love each other a lot and are more grateful than ever that I have her in my life. When you have someone who is your friend, your wife who loves you who has your back and is going to be there for you thick or thin its something truly money cannot buy. If i lost everything for some reason and had to live in a tent she would be right there with me still encouraging me. Yes, she is a blessing from God and we have both been rewarded greatly by sticking it out together through the tough times. Awesome post RR! and My wife and I share a similar story. We both believe God brought us together, and we each experienced some unsuccessful relationships before we met. Don't give up OP. Take care of yourself, stay in shape, eat and sleep well, enjoy your life. And when the time is right, God will bring the right person into your life. |
