There are only 2.8 to 3.4 billion authentic spirits incarnated here at any given moment

That number fluctuates depending upon the current moment, who is transitioning out and who is coming in. It appears to me via a counter (looks like a 1980s odometer in a car) that I can see at any moment. It is constantly in flux but never pushes either boundary limit due to the constant recycling. As a side note, some of the authentic souls have become so used to be recycled that cannot entertain the thought of rejecting it anymore. They just let it happen.

The rest of that number are counterfeit, inorganic spirits. This has been portrayed in a wide range of material ranging from Gnostic texts to They Live, Truman Show and much more. It is done this way for several reasons. The original point of these beings was to confuse the original authentic souls of what was humanly possible and what was not. Nowadays humans look at other humans and cannot believe what they do, how they treat each other and so on. But if you really understood who these beings really were, the surprise would dissipate. Could you imagine if every human was shed of their bio-flesh suit and you could only see their spirit? You would be mortified on who your neighbors were or worse, who you've slept with. Conversely you would be amazed at the shine and powerful capabilities of others. That power is what so greatly scares those who purposely plant so many of these fake humans in our lives.

As time progressed there became more use for these hollow vessels. Targeting, gaslighting, gangstalking, body switching, just to name a few became much easier when these beings were put to work. I know you have experienced seemingly impossible moments in your life. How people show up, what they say, the timing of their actions, the way they stare at you with that cold blank face as if they are dead inside. Well they are. And if you go back and really examine some of the most ridiculous situations of your life, you'd be surprised what percentage of them involved a counterfeit being.

When one comes to this understanding, I can't say it makes everything better, but at least it makes sense in a world where nothing does. After all a counterfeit world would naturally be made up of counterfeit beings. But what it does allow is for you to reclaim your strength when at moments it may seem near impossible. Knowledge equals power and it will change your frequency vastly.

Just remember the whole point of it is for you to forget the truth of who you are. To attempt to strip your shine away. Anytime you encounter one of these beings, put them in their place. You are an infinite being in a finite world. Reclaim your infinite splendor and never let one of them interfere with your brilliance again!
