If kids are raised on the freedom side of the line, they will grow up without structure. If they are raised on the strcuture side of the line, they will grow up without freedom (expanded freedom like kids with piss poor parents). So one must raise their child, somehow, right on that line while the line is continually moved around & redefined. It's a tough job to get it right. Perhaps, if one side had to be chosen, I would choose to raise my kids under structure so that when they are adults, they respect the freedom. |
