There are few things more amusing than trolling the LASHTAL forums in search of magickal heirs of the beast. I've been doing it for years, and sure enough, they are all carbon copies of Aleister Crowley. |

I kid you not. There is no level of lunacy people will not go to when they have been deceived by the Demon Crowley. I knew a girl in high school who became a stripper after graduation and ran around with some low class moron from OTO for several years before she ended up strung out on the streets. She quite literally believed she was the reincarnation of the scarlet woman. And I couldn't really argue with her. I think she was too, because she was a completely delusional idiot. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44766950 Tell that to the hundreds of acolytes vying for the position. Every one of them and their dog thinks they are the reincarnation of Aleister Crowley. And why they would want to be that has always been a mystery to me. I actually understand Crowley and the angles he was coming from having grown up in the Plymouth Brethren. But these fools who seek to be his reincarnation? I cannot properly define what kind of bereft moron you would have to be. |

It's weird that they believe in the spiritual world and not divine justice, but it can only be that. Of course there are also those who think Crowleyism is in fact beneficial and philanthropic. I often think of them as wanting super powers on earth and paying the consequences later, however it may be deeper than that. In the case of the aforementioned individual, it obviously is just that. |

Well, not really. The kind of Atheism that Crowley wanted is 'Land of No God'. He was looking for the kind of Atheist who is an averse initiate 'Atheist'. The kind of Atheist who knows full well that there is a God and even knows that God is the God of the Bible, but chooses to walk in the Land of Shadow. Crowley didn't want the common ilk of mundane 'atheist'. He wanted the occult 'Atheist' as initiate. As I said, I understand every angle from which Crowley sprung. Crowley simply wanted pure Evil for the sake of pure Evil. Not because of rebellion, but simply to spiritually murder as many people as possible. You'll hear all kinds of jibber-jabber by these flakes who claim to understand Crowley, or be initiates in his Thelema, and yet they are not telling you the whole story. Crowley called himself an 'Atheist', but he was not their kind of 'atheist'. Crowley never actually abandoned his belief and knowledge of Scripture. He simply wanted to project the 'Great Delusion' upon the world to damn as many souls as possible. And if you think for a moment that Crowley was not that kind of psychopath, you don't know Crowley. |

DARPA does some cool 'godlike' stuff Maybe you should look into it As a Xristian, I'm not really interested in 'godlike' stuff. I'm more interested in 'godly' stuff. Crowley was simply an exercise in magickal dialectics for me. Actually, if you use Crowley as a dialectic tool and bounce thoughts off of Scripture, it can and will sharpen your Sword. But you had better be ready and understand that Crowley is always trying to murder you. As long as you understand that at every turn Crowley is attempting to murder you, you should be fine. If you ever forget that one Truth, however, you will fall into trouble. I see all these people joining Thelemic cults, destroying their lives, and blowing their brains out on Enochian rituals, drugs, 'sex magick', etc. Crowley was just basic combat training to me. That's all I ever used him for. |

Liber Aleph may be, in fact, his most helpful work. It is filled with veils and misdirection, but if one has completed a dialectical track involving Scripture, the work can be of benefit. This is about as close to 'Truth' as Crowley could safely get without giving up the ghost to his occult base. It is designed for one kind of person and one kind of person alone. |
