I hated Blazing Saddles (except for Mongo punching a horse which was a riot)(Mongo is just a funny name, people who look for malice are boring) farting jokes never make me laugh, anything with Terry Garr gets my Attention, (I loved Young Frankenstrein)

A story about two friends, guys, who spend so much time together that people in a downtown social circle start wondering if they are gay? Sure, they could do that now, but they wouldn't because it's just good writing. Unfortunately they wouldn't do the amazing "Master Of My Domain" show because they'd be able to use the word, which takes away lots of the jokes. "I'm out".

True story. When the movie originally came out I was in high school. Our school team was the Pioneers. We had 4 black guys on the football team and being politically correct we referred to them as Sheriffs. So we'd shout to our teammate in front of the crowds "here comes our sheriff, he is a near. ". Of course people not on the team, not privy to the joke thought we were using an abbreviation of "he's a pioneer, a neer." Life goes on, you grow up and have kids and don't go to the old school games. Fast forward 30 years and my daughter comes home proudly wearing her homecoming t-shirt, Go Neers! Yes, the abbreviation has become the preferred nickname because it takes less ink. School super, principal, teachers, parents, nobody has a clue about how the nickname came about. They all think it's always been that way. I told her about it. She had never seen Blazin Saddles. Oh if they only read GLP!
