I always thought the whole rave/Ecstasy thing was government co trolled back in the late 80’s onwards- and I was right in the middle of it all. Ecstasy caused terrible mental health problems later on to a LOT of people

Ritalin is a very weak drug, only given in low dose pills to allow users to focus etc. I guess they could neck a load but i really feel it is down to the peer pressure society with social media etc which seems to make people do dumb things for cred points etc? I also feel they have missed the point on gang culture and drugs. They are not gonna neck low yield prescription crap when they have access to coke from a young age imo.
I reckon they are avoiding the issue that kids from 12 up are using and selling cocaine through gangs and mixing it with weed and alcohol - a truly potent mix but they want to blame the presc drug path instead of the real problem which is coke imo, esp in London!

Coke in London is a massive problem. I worked at a music festival in Essex a couple of weeks ago and the you could cut the Cokey atmosphere with a knife. There were two massive 30+ person knife fights that weekend. Then the locals stormed the gates when security temporary shut the gates to control the aggro still going on inside!!

it's todays kids that are more violent.
i blame most of it on violent video gaming. also, as the dependency on social media continues,the decline in actual socialization in real life decreases. people become avatars. its easy to gun down a room of avatars, they have been doing it for hours since they were children.

I lived with a guy who is now 32 or so. He smoked bong hits and took ritalin all day every day. Somehow he made it through college, heavily in debt, of course.

I haven't seen him in a few years but come to find out he is cross dressing now and identifying as a woman. I would NEVER have guessed, but if he kept doing what he was doing when I knew him I guess it makes sense?

Yeah i have seen that change in the Uk scene also mate, used to be all huggie and friendly pre 2000's but it all changed so much with crap quality pills, coke n ketamine in clubs n festivals - far too messy lol.

Not what Tess is saying mate. Ritalin although is related to speed is VERY mild in dose, however when mixed with weed might make it more psychoactive. I don't really believe Ritalin abuse within gangs is an issue but to blame it on Ritalin when weed is way more psychoactive is nuts lol.
