Re: The strangest thing to ever happen to you? Supernatural, paranormal, or "coincidental"..
I was standing in line at an auto parts store when the guy in front of me put a can of spray paint on the counter. I looked at it and thought "that can is going to explode and get paint all over me" and right then it did.

Another time there was a knock at my door. As I'm opening it I think "there's a cop at my door", I open it, and there's a cop at my door.

Both times I got the thought right before it happens but not soon enough to change the outcome.

Premonition I guess.

So many strange things have happened in my life it's incredulous. Documented in ebook: Life on the Limbus. I'm surprised I've been left to live to talk about it. The "Illuminutty" no longer cares.

I had a vision of Jesus Christ about 15 years ago..I was wide awake and sober. It changed my life.

Sure...i had just fled an abusive marrisge, i knew I wasnt living for God like I should, and so I started all over..I was trying so hard to be perfect...one early morning I opened my bible in bed, about to read, and a voice in my head told me to be still and close my eyes...I did so without even thinking. ...when I did I saw myself standing in an empty laundromat, the only other person there was whom I immediately recognized as being Jesus Christ. He wore a white robe, had sandals, shoulder length wavy sandy brown hair....he was crouched down, appearing to be tossing shredded rags that were in a basket. ...I thought he would turn to look at me, but he never did....the scene faded out and everything went black. ..I was overwhelmed with emotion when I opened my eyes and at first I could only cry. I didn't feel deserving of this...i.got myself together and asked right out loud, what do I do with this....that same voice came back and told me to go tell Neal. Neal was a friend and one of the biggest anti abortion activist in America. ...I immediately got on my computer and found Neal to be I told Neal the vision...he knew it's meaning right away..Neal told me, Isaiah chapter sixty four, verse six...where it says, our righteousness is as filthy rags. .....I was trying so hard to be perfect and this was God's reply....it took me years to really grasp its full meaning, and it's the most incredible event of my entire life.this happened about fifteen years ago.btw, Neal Horsley died a few years back. R.i.p. Neal. ...krissy also, this took place in the public housing division in Oklahoma city...lol

My husband saw some kind of monster in the Pennsylvania backwoods. Pale skin, no hair, gator-like teeth, very clearly humanoid.

He and a buddy were out by a place by the river at night in Tioga county to have a couple of beers and spar with swords. It came up behind the other dude like it was stalking him.

They both freaked out, yelled a lot, it reared up a little, raising its arms/claws in the air in some kind of threat display. Their response was to scream obscenities at it, and swing their swords around wildly. It got the hell out of there. You don't mess with hillbillies with swords.

Re: The strangest thing to ever happen to you? Supernatural, paranormal, or "coincidental"..
This happened about 3 years ago when my wife and I were not yet married but she was living with me. We had just settled down to sleep and we both were tired I can tell you. My head might have been on my pillow for 30 seconds when I heard an old fashion music box. This struck me as odd since I have never owned one and have only heard it in movies or tv. I assumed it was just in my head as I was tired and dream was coming on but I asked my wife (gf at the time) if she heard that and she said yes "what was that"?. At this point I was totally perplexed so I got out of bed and turned the lights back on. I knew I did not own a music box and frankly had never even seen one in person except maybe when I was real young at my grandparents place. Either way the second I got up in stopped and I looks around the whole room, I'm not sure why but I did. To this day its the strangest thing that has happened to me and my wife.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76334933

HEY. I grew up in a house that was supposedly haunted. All of us used to hear 'old time music' playing subtly at night. When you would lift your head up it would stop. I didn't know the rest of my family heard it as well until later. When I was younger I assumed my mom was watching TV or something but then I'd get up and the whole house was dark.

Sometimes you'd hear it much louder than others. I have the full physical memory of hearing it. Muffled voices the slight wobbly instruments etc.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76720959

I lived in an old haunted house that had poltergeist stuff going on even. It was scary.

Anyway, every night at midnight I'd hear a scratchy phonograph playing 1920's sounding music. It sounded a lot like Auld Lang Syne but it played every night. There would also be laughter and clinking glasses. Every night it was the same music, same clinks, same laughter. When I went to investigate it grew fainter the closer I should have been to it. By the time I got to where it should have been, it was gone.

I was driving home after a 16 hour day, and having some trouble staying awake.
a bright white something came through the front of the truck, flying though the dashboard and right through my chest and head. It wasn’t something I thought I saw, it was real and it was bright white.
I was already on the brakes as the adrenaline was flowing through me, that’s when I noticed that there was a sea of red tail lights stopped in the front of me on the interstate. I stopped just in time behind a semi trailer, behind me another semi was struggling to get stopped right behind me, I’m still amazed at his driving skill as he fought to keep it straight, that’s when I saw the same bright white light in his cab dimming as he came to a stop inches from my back bumper.
i dont pay attention to the world ending. it has ended for me many times and began again in the morning.

I'm an Atheist and I reached the end of the eight fold path. I learned that drd4 7r is responsible for the progress of man and those with it are the ones responsible for major breakthroughs. Also, God is either four things. Aliens, prime creator of a simulation, a universal connection, or a psychology tool made by man. I am the Atheist second coming-Buddha-beast-anti-christ extravaganza.

I have had many such instances in my life, like the time I couldn't afford gas back in the 90's and didn't know what to do til I got paid 3 days away. Well after I hernestly asked for help, my gas needle on an 1\8th of a tank did Not move for that 3 days despite having driven at least 80 miles since my prayer until I got paid. Between going to the bank and directly to gas station, when I pulled up to the gas pump my car died because it ran out of gas. But I will say by far this Jan was the one that actually blew my mind. My name literally showed up in the sky. My name is Terri middle initial M., it showed up in my patch of sky and took this pic from my balcony. Blew my mind the other side would take a chance to contact me in such a way.

I know this is too long. I don’t know how to say anything in 25 words or less, so thanks for reading.

This wasnt especially ‘strange’ to me. I’ve come to regard it as comforting...it’s happened a few times over the years; here’s the most recent: While visiting my sister at hospice, I began noticing the fragrance of flowers - like a bouquet of lilacs. It came and went. Once, it happened with several of us in the room. I didn’t mention it, but one person said “Who is wearing perfume?” They left, I went over to her bed, and continued to smell if until it faded.

It happened again the night before she died. The closer I moved to her bed, the stronger the fragrance was. Then it faded away again. She was heavily medicated and I didn’t want to say anythiing to alarm her. Again, the fragrance was lovely, like a bouquet of lilacs.

I stopped a nurse in the hallway, and asked her if anyone had ever reported this phenomenon, and she replied that yes, people sometimes reported smelling roses when a person was dying. While we were talking, the scent of roses was literally permeating the hallway. There wasn’t a rose in sight. Not a surprise since there were dying people in other rooms. It was the strongest rose fragrance I had ever experienced.

I told the nurse what I had experienced with my sister; she had no explanation, but told me what I was experiencing was real.

I debated whether to stay with my sister through the night, decided to head home, kissed her on the forehead, and told her I’d be back next day.

I woke up unexpectedly next morning at 5 AM. Unknown to me at the time, my husband was lying next to me, also awake. Later I learned my dad and other sisters had awakened at the same time, all wondering why we were awake so early. The phone rang at 5:15 AM, and the nurse told me she was trying to ease her breathing, but that she was getting ready to pass. We started getting ready to go to her, the phone rang again, and she had died.

I regretted not staying with her. I hope she knew somehow that we were all awake when she left us, and I hope she experienced the sweet fragrance of lilacs.

Strangest thing happened to me last year in June 2017

I was making a call cousin in Australia, and suddenly the line went funny, and I could overhear 2 guys discussing something random (like a bad line etc). One had an Aussie accent, but one was either British or accent not as strong...

"location, [then the guy repeated some coordinates] 'end location"

he said this around 5 times while the other guy listened

then "satellite location" [followed by numbers]
"satellite identifier" [more numbers]

date: 07.03.2014, date: 08.03.2014, date... and so on

then the guy who was quiet said 'roger that'

then fuckin creepy as shit a song called 'Land Down Under' started playin and I listened till then end then the line went dead

and then phone started ringing like normal and cousin picked up like nothin fuckin happened !!!

I have directly experienced the greater/higher consciousness that exists outside of what we normally consider reality. No, I'm not schizo or anything like that, I'm well-educated, pretty rational, and slightly skeptic, if anything. There's more to the story of course, but it would be kind of long, and I don't think most people would believe me anyway unless they have experienced it themselves as well. It's one of those "you had to be there" kind of things.

Re: The strangest thing to ever happen to you? Supernatural, paranormal, or "coincidental"..
This happened to me in the late 1980's........

I'd worked for a large office equipment company as word processor..great bosses, etc. loved it!!

I was there for 12 years when the unexpected happened; a HUGE international company bought my boss out - they love what he did and he felt it was time to retire anyway.

anyway,.....I disliked the new 'regime' as did most of us......so after 6 months I quit.

on that last day I went home & changed into my PJS for a quiet nite of TV.

when I was out of my clothes, I felt a warmth at my feet, that slowly traveled up my entire body...!!!!

feet/ankles/calves/thighs, etc., & up to the top of my head!!

it was a warmth like you'd feel from, say, an electric blanket that had been left on for a while; gentle, not hot.

I was dumbfounded!!!

first thing I thought of was, 'am I getting sick? coming down with something? WHAT??!'

to this day I wonder what that could have been.

someone said it was an angel, but that makes no sense; warming my body? for what?

so if anyone has any thoughts or opinions, I'D SURE LOVE TO HEAR THEM!!!!!

THANKS!!!

:-D

Warmth is often associated with comfort, like everything’s OK. Maybe feeling that everything would be okay. Also, warm memories of the happy times you spent at your job.

I was in the Army, stationed at Ft Stewart, GA back in the 1970's. Our barracks where in the middle of nowhere and I was on CQ duty. It was about 3 am and I'm reading a book that described some of the demon Beelzebub's signs as the buzzing of flies and a sickly sweet smell. I had read the Amityville Horror shortly before and read the same exact same thing.

It's 3 am, in the middle of nowhere with no sounds except crickets. After I read that, the hackles on the back of my neck started to rise and I'm feeling a little creeped out. All of a sudden, the Commander of the Relief opens the door and walks in. I wasn't expecting it, and it scared the SHIT out of me. I jumped up and almost screamed when he walked in. For a second or two I completely terrified and almost screamed. It wasn't funny at the time, but I laugh about it now.

I had just put a garbage can full of water and leaned it next to a door of a jerk in the neighborhood. I then knocked on the door and ran. About half way home someone came out of no where and told me if I didn’t change I was gonna end up with a hole in my stomach. I now have a colostomy since 2001.

One night years ago, I left the bar and got into my car to follow some friends to their house. The road was curvy and it had been raining. The bar was a few miles outside of town, and there was nothing but woods on both sides of the road. The car that I was following was going faster than I was comfortable with, but I sped up a little to keep up with them. All of the sudden I must of hydroplaned, because I lost control, spun in a circle then shot off the road. I landed perfectly in the middle of a small driveway or logging road that came off the main road. It was like I had just pulled over there and parked. I had never noticed this little road before, and certainly didn't aim my car for it. I sure felt lucky that day. By all rights I should of hit one of the many trees along the road. I always just felt like it was some odd good luck.

That's nuts! I'd take it as a warning to take it slow in the rain. Perhaps it just was not your fate to be taken away that night.

Re: The strangest thing to ever happen to you? Supernatural, paranormal, or "coincidental"..
My strange experience revolved around my son. He had gotten involved in the new age movement over 2 years ago.
So he was in his room, with his friend at the time, and they both had the same outer body experience of hell. He was frightened and went to the bathroom to try and splash water in his face and get rid of the experience. At that time he started to pray and ask Jesus to redeem him. Well he made the entity / demon mad, that he had let in through experimenting with new age occultism, and it pushed him on the forehead and knocked him out cold.

When he came to, he ran in my room and asked me to pray for him and get rid of it. So, I did.

Well the next night, he left the house because he was to afraid to sleep in his room. I got up about 3 a.m. in the morning to lower the air conditioner temp. gauge which is located near my son's room. All of a sudden I heard what sounded like a million fluttering wings speeding toward me at light speed. I could see the air warping in its path. It tried to push me down, by laying its hand on my forehead just as it did to my son the night before. However, I knew the name of Jesus and spoke it out loud with authority. It immediately ran away from me with the same sound of a million fluttering wings and returned to my son's room.

It took many weeks to get rid of the entity or demon that he let in, but we did it by prayer and rebuking it in the name of Jesus. Also, it never came out to my area of the house because it was never allowed there.

Be careful what you let in.

Another time, in 1992, my step father died...he was a mean , perverted s.o.b. and use to watch me take a bath thru the keyhole of the door...soon after he died I was soaking in the tub at my boyfriend's, and i saw my step dad's exact face, in the stucco on the wall above the tub...he was grinning in a very evil way...I was so scared I couldn't move for hours...I was scared to death of him as a kid...true story. I have so many crazy experiences I need to write a book about them. -krissy
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69713108

Maybe the experience with Christ was Him telling you that you didn’t have to be afraid of the stepfather anymore. There had to be more trauma than the keyhole/bathtub experience - that was bad enough, but maybe God wanted you to get a fresh start without that evil person in your life, and/or that your traumatic experiences didn’t have to define who you are. Just a guess.

It would have been much more interesting if they were listing off future date that haven't existed yet.

A dream that lasted an entire lifetime.

Then I woke up and only a couple of hours had passed.

I've had this happen on a couple of occasions. In one of the dreams I traveled the world on a boat. During my dream I hid odd jewels in a cannon. Not too long later I was watching the discovery channel where they were discussing a ship wreck. On the show they pulled out jewels that were hidden in the cannon. They were the same exact style of jewels from my dream. Red and blue transparent stones cut like disco balls. On the show they said this discovery is the only one that has found this specific type of cut on a jewel.

There was this dog that started coming by my house. I liked him and he liked me A LOT! He would get excited when he saw me outside and come running, and would sit in my lap like a baby. He was a short-ish, squat black lab. I didn't know who he belonged to. One time, I asked him, "what is your name?" In my head, I immediately heard "Alfredo", and it looked like he was actually smiling at me (with his tongue hanging out and his tail wagging like mad). So, I called him "Alfredo".

Months later, I was sitting on the porch in my front yard petting this dog, and I saw a man walking on the sidewalk a ways down. He was looking around, yelling "Alfredo". The dog heard the man and ran to him!

I never saw the dog again! This is all true.

Years ago I was standing in my parents front yard with a friend, when we see a random dog walking down the road. My friend jokingly said a good name for that dog would be Freckles. A few seconds later a woman is walking down the road yelling "Freckles!"

I've come to the conclusion many times that I am either dead, all of us are dead, or there is no life and death and we are just a collective dream.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68510328

I became convinced of this awhile ago. I pretty much live my life as if this is the case.

Well, except that it is not collective. It is just me dreaming up all of y'all.

I believe you have experienced a phenomenon called "ego death", as have I. Look it up. The meaning of life is 1, because that's all there is.

Re: The strangest thing to ever happen to you? Supernatural, paranormal, or "coincidental"..
I now am going thru some really weird happenings, I am as sane, no mental issues, no drugs, street or otherwise, & I rarely drink if at all.
This started happening about 3 months ago, after I’m thru reading at night I’ll turn out my light & lay down into bed, something is coming onto my bed (I’m not joking) and at 1st pressing on my bed & got closer to me! Then I felt a patting like on me, then it felt like it was massaging my pillow which I felt on my head!
I did turn my lamp back on pronto & nothing was there! This again has been going on for 3 months! That’s not all….we went camping in our RV, and I no more than turn out the light & I am not making this up, the RV bed which (couch that pulls out into a bed in kitchen part) started shaking I mean bad! I couldn’t move I was frozen! My grandson just happened to come from the back buck to go potty & I was like “Hey come here…no please do not shut the door….(he was shutting the bathroom door and the light from the bathroom was gone….yikes!) but I could barely talk loud enough….the bed kept shaking!
He finally came out & I found my voice barely but enough that he heard me. I said come here please,( I didn’t tell him what was happening because I didn’t want to scare him …he’s 7) he came over & said he couldn’t sleep I said well come lay down with Nana (He’s 7) he did, AND he no more then got the blankets on him & the bed started shaking again, badly shaking, I didn’t say a word, but he said, Nana what’s that? (I could tell in his voice he was scared) what’s what? He said the bed it’s shaking, what is that? I said oh it’s raccoons trying to get in but we are safe no worries. Right after he said that & when I replied, the bed stopped & never shook the rest of the night.
There were no raccoons, no trains, nothing to make the bed shake like that!
We told my husband the next morning who knows what I have been experiencing at home in my own bed (we’ve been married 34 years & each sleep in our own beds, he snores too loud seriously) but that night he slept with me on the pull out, we turn out the light & it begins! But not as bad as it was with just me & then with my grandson. My husband said yes he felt pounding like it wanted to shake but just a pounding & slight shaking. He could think of no reason for this either, no train, ect…& he didn’t like it one bit & was questioning what/who, would do this to me?
Back home the next day & I’m sleeping with my husband but it’s not easy as again snoring! And yes we’ve tried everything, nothing works he just keeps snoring!
This sleeping together didn’t last long! But before it ended, I decided to take a peek at my chart to see if I could see anything & I’ll be darn (I’m an Astrologer) I did see the issue, I then contacted Lynn K. who is a long time astrologer because on her site she had just what was going on in my chart on her website…to make this short as I know this is way to long…my aura was/is, thinning…yes it happens, just like the earth Magna field thins, there is a great write up on it describing it to the earths Magna field…& when one’s aura thins strange happenings begin. Seriously. It’s like a Smorgasbord restaurant for the non-living! And it’s no fun!
What I’m experiencing is not sleep paralysis, I’m quite awake, nor does it happen when I come out of a deep sleep, what I’m experiencing is truly my aura thinning.
Now that I have spoken with Lynn K. I know how to strengthen my aura & am doing so now. But let me tell you as it states on her website, even though you know what the cause is it doesn’t make it any easier to handle. I sleep with my bathroom light on, I bless my bed each night, I pray to Archangel Michael & I do so much more!
Everyone this is real, & it’s scary, & I’m sane, I’ve searched everywhere online to find an answer when I should have been looking at my chart, search online…” Pressing on my bed” this is happening to many, many, people!
And just to add because I know there's always one out there…I do not do any black magic crap, I use my mind to bring forth what I want in life, I meditate, I pray to God, (I’m spiritual, not religious) I have a good education, I make a very good living, so please no silly remarks, I thought I’d share in case it’s happening to anyone else out there or to someone you may know, it’s your aura thinning & there are things you can do to strengthen it! Hope I helped someone :)
