Only a Catholic (or Orthodox) priest can absolve your sins. The personal sanctity or villainy of the individual priest has nothing to do with it.

The easiest way for you to come to learn the truth of the Catholic Church, is to visit the Real Presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. To do this, you should search your hometown for a Catholic Church which offers Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. This is usually a small chapel that is set aside for 24/7 Adoration and manned by volunteers adorers, ordinary people like you or me who pledge an hour of their day to silent adoration before the blessed Sacrament. These Adoration Chapels are usually open 24/7. I suggest you make a visit.
