Way too many people buy into the false notion that liberalism at least supposedly - supposedly - comes from a nice part of the human soul. Giving people of the left that benefit of the doubt is naive, foolish and even dangerous.

Never forget that ruthless, violent, misery-inducing people like Hugo Chavez/Nicolas Maduro, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Cristina Kirchner, Lula da Silva, Barack/Hillary, etc, will never brag about being mean, unkind, greedy, inhumane, irrational and dishonest. Hitler, who for some reason many people don't lump together with the stereotypical left, was a big supporter of animal rights and a non-meat diet---because he didn't like humans thinking of animals as food.
