President Nicolas Maduro urged his armed forces Wednesday to be on guard following reports that nearly a year ago Donald Trump, the US president, raised the possibility of invading Venezuela. "You cannot lower you guard for even a second, because we will defend the greatest right our homeland has had in all of its history," Mr Maduro said at a military ceremony, "which is to live in peace." I am not a fan of socialism , but Venezuela situation is NOT from socialism , it’s from a steady coordinated economic assault by the USA . The multinational oil companies want their hands on Venezuela oil, but Venezuelan has decided the oil is the people’s, that’s why gas is damn near free there, less then 1/10 of a penny per gallon. I have lived there before for years, and they may actually have more capitalism then the USA. Mom and pop shop everywhere , they dominate the landscape, street food right out of your front yard everywhere without gov regulations . Just try that here in the states and see what happens . I’m not sayin their gov Is not corrupt like all gov seem to be . But they would be in much better shape with Us interference. They have even banned all gmos . Simple Question: How many bolivars does it take to buy a penny's worth of gas these days? 1148... Here's the problem I have with the whole theory about Venezuelan oil. If American companies had not set Venezuela up to find oil and refine it that oil would still be in the ground and Venezuela would be even poorer still. Without Venezuelan oil the Allies would have lost WWII, and the Axis would have conquered Asia, Africa and Europe
