Cannabis is not a pain killer. however Cannabis works well for pain relief. so you may be thinking its some placebo effect. Thats close but not exactly how it works. The way it works is Pain is in the mind. Pot distracts the mind and the pain goes unnoticed. In your experiment the subjects knew they were being observed. They were prompted to focus on the pain in order to rate it which completely negates the pots effect. |

[link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Stick that in your pipe and smoke it weedtards! I will stick to my painkillers. Idiot! It doesn't exactly match the different pain mechanisms. It's up to you to learn meditation techniques to enhance the meds you're using. Cannabis helps you get to that place “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” |

That is why gamer's say they easily get in the "zone" and play their best when high. Makes sense that the pain would increase if they are focusing on it while high. |

The high is too hard to overcome for weed. The problem is not the weed it’s the mind using it. You would have to get clean first for weed to help. I am not advocating pot either. Both do more damage then good. |

Not as good as a narcotic pain med, but at least it helps. Goodbye, halcyon days... There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |

Then they asked "did marijuana make you want to stop using morphine"? aimed to recruit until we reached 1500 participants. Recruitment took place from August 13, 2012, to April 8, 2014. Participants were aged 18 years or older, living with chronic non-cancer pain (defined in this study as pain lasting longer than 3 months), taking prescribed schedule 8 opioids (including fentanyl, morphine, oxycodone, buprenorphine, methadone, and hydromorphone) for chronic non-cancer pain for longer than 6 weeks, competent in English, mentally and physically able to participate in telephone and self-complete interviews, and did not have any serious cognitive impairments, as determined by the interviewer at the time of screening. A history of injecting drug use was not an exclusion criterion... This kind of political research is HOGWASH! |
