Whoa... Tesla compared to Theranos?! Bankruptcy soon??

So Tesla holds no patents for their rockets? For their batteries? For their cell packs? For their all electric car they have no patents? Just the battery tech alone will be worth trillions if they are the market leaders in that field. The future will run on batteries, and they will be extremely more capable then anything we have now. Considering they are on of the few companies who put the majority of their money towards research instead of marketing they will be the ones reaping the fruit of their labor in the decades to follow.

Ever since Tesla’s come out they have had a huge army of detractors calling for their demise. Even if Tesla goes threw a bankruptcy period the business isn’t going anywhere. You will see this as one of the worlds major corporations in 30 years. And I’m not a Tesla owner or stock holder but Tesla is basically going to be like the next Microsoft for batteries and electric tech. The world is moving towards a new energy, what ever powers it., electricity will be created and Tesla’s set themselves up to be the #1 corporation to supply their needs.

How does a start up electric car company , that made less than 100,000 cars and never turned a profit , have a higher stock valuation than Ford?

He had drained his money tens of times. But guess what, it's not all about money, it's about the products.

Roughly 3 decades from now fuel engines WILL BE obsolete. Thus, useless common cars WILL BE scrapped and TESLA will be there. Lack of global oil will push ALL markets UP. Likewise, energy source will be luxury, but his SolarCity will be readily available. Further in that time, remnants of oil reserves will be only available to govts perhaps, of which with the world of 10 billion people, earth humans, like an alien, will explore other planets in SEARCH of energy source. And that time, you will remember SPACEX.

not sure Tesla is an analog to Theranos. Tesla built a very successful car, the Model S, which customers and journalists alike were creaming their drawers over. Tesla's problems are with the Model 3 and trying to hit stride in mass production while keeping cost down and quality control up.

Theranos, on the other hand, had jack shit from Day 1. I don't think Musk is another Elizabeth Holmes.

They've been subsidized for years, showing net losses. It's not surprising that a government over the years has shown the same business trend (losing money/deficit), yet has given them money, only to keep them afloat. We need to take a whipping stick with the words "THE MARKET" on it and rid ourselves of this company. There's genius in their technology, but it's been awkwardly and shrewdly imposed upon us, and the market doesn't demand it per say (net losses). Why should they continue to be an exception to the rule?

you know except all the Electric cars take loads of fossil fuels to make and transport, and all the metals that go into making them are extracted with fossil fuels and all the people who do the mining are fed by fossil fuels and all the power that powers electric cars are mostly fossil fuels and solar panels are made with fossil fuels etc. etc. etc. ad nauseam.

Renewables aren't sustainable due to their low energy return on energy investment. The world economy is collapsing because of this.
