You might have certain christians that do this or that but at least he has surface ideology that you can communicate with him on.

anybody not involved in organized religion is USUALLY agnostic.

Ive talked to literally THOUSANDS of atheists with the aim to understand them, for a project I did a few years ago. Took many years to complete so many conversations, but a recurring theme I found out is


atheists are extremely rare.

When it comes down to the nitty gritty, when posed with the right questions, these atheists self admittedly are actually agnostic as most believe in some form of a higher power but aren't sure what to call it. They REALLY will do anything they can to stray from describing themselves as anything similar to how organized religion followers describe themselves, but agnosticism and atheism are both belief systems of their own and it doesn't matter if you're religious or not because we all use the exact same logic to develop our true beliefs about reality...we just interpret the data differently.
