We should ally with Russia and do a pincer move on Europe taking them out and splitting the countries they take Eastern Europe and we take western.

Don’t see why we need NATO, all we have done is pay for Europe’s defense while they turned leftist/socialist having no defense to worry about

Well, Chip, Washington needs NATO alive because if it disbands, then a) Europe forms it's own Euro military rival to the USA b) it forms a Eurasian pact with Russia and, possibly, the Chinese. If that happened? Let's just say nuclear Armageddon is an absolute certainty.

Paying for the upkeep of NATO is absolutely vital for US global hegemony.
