Yeah they have their script they are following. In it first there is a 1000 year period where some people live in a giant cubic cage they call the New Jerusalem, and the rest live on a messed up earth fighting to survive called the Lake of Fire. Then after those 1000 years some leave in Spirit form and they burn everything else up. Which is their reset button. But yeah that darkness doesn't just dissapear. (Answering your question in another thread maybe darkness is matter and light is what arranges it).

And the "they" are a lot of people doing what they are told to.
