Jesus will therefore rule as both King and High Priest(Melchelzedek order)from heaven at that time as Jesus himself told us his kingdom is not of this earth and the things of heaven are higher than the things of earth therefore Jesus has both offices as King and High Priest and on the lesser earth those two offices are divided between the two anointed one the king and the other the high priest that is the position of the two witnesses( two anointed) who are to arrive in the end times.

Why does the children of Israel abide many days without a king? Because the age of Grace has arrived and when the 2000 years of the age of grace is over the covenant of the levitic priesthood and davidic kingship will be reinstated as promised by the covenant in Jeremiah and Ezekiel

18 Neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle meat offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

there will be a sun and moon in the millennium therefore the covenant with the davidic and levitic will be reinstated...and you will need 2 leaders to hold those two offices


The sun and moon covenant isn't broken until the end of the 1000 years millenium and this will be when the levitic and davidic covenant are broken and Jesus rules over all on the new Earth...levitic and davidic covenants can't be broken until the sun and moon covenant is broken.
