We’ve closed stores that weren’t making money, downsized management, and cut 20% of our workforce in 90% of our brick and mortar locations. Our stock is up 50%, and we are making sales plan. We are looking at big bonuses when this quarter ends in a few weeks.... I must admit that I am not too convinced that any of this is all that great for our country. We don’t sell anything anyone really needs. A lot of debt created for stuff. Shiny, sparkly, fraying or distressed stuff. We call it newness. I call it my dance with the devil. |

I never said they love me, but they do like the money I make for them. I am rewarded accordingly. I have so far avoided the stream lining and managed a promotion after the last round. Honestly, at this point, canning my ass would be probably be the best spiritual gift I was ever handed. I am not a fan of the materialistic, throw away society we live in. The older I get, the sicker it makes me. |
