While such an attitude is nice, in theory, in practice you have to respond to your adversary using communication strategies that your adversary will understand. Liberals use Alinsky tactics to hang you with your own set of rules, i.e. if your policy is to write a letter in response to every letter you receive, they will send 30,000 letters to overwhelm you and then vilify you online and in the media b/c they know that it is extremely difficult to follow every single one of your own rules faithfully at all times. Therefore, to say that we aren't going to 'stoop' to their level b/c we want to be better than them, is not an effective strategy as it is one they can and will easily dismiss-it is inefficacious, b/c their rules force them to keep the pressure on and never let up, so they will not play nice if we play nice-they'll think we're weak and they will move in to destroy us. They are unencumbered by concerns of morality or fairness. Right now, they are reaping what they have sown with #metoo and their anti-right wing doxxing (from celebrities like Roseanne to ordinary people like Permit Patty this summer). I'm going to enjoy watching liberals eat their own. Force them to play by their own rules and see what happens-I'll get the popcorn.
