Trump Announces Yet Another Round of Tariffs on $200B of Foreign Cars

I work in the car industry, and it pains me to see all these foreign cars on the roads and filling up the lots at the expense of the American worker. Autos such as Honda and Toyota may be built here, but those profits go back home. All the while they are paying substantially less for the same dang car.

It says in the article that the worry is car prices will go up all over the world. I maintain a different perspective. With hundreds of thousands of brand-spanking new cars filling up parking lots, fields, and even runways, the soon-to-be-well-known glut in cars all over the US will have to be unloaded somehow, and dirt cheap since many have sat so long, they need repairs.

I think tariffs at this point are essential. We're already paying a shit ton more than anywhere else, and the US is leaking jobs to foreign car manufacturers, so I say do it.
We're seeing China conforming/contorting to our requests, demands, and actions, so that says its working.

Close, the snowflakes will be programming the robots that will take more jobs.

Part of the reasoning for the tariffs is to change the mindset of the public to going back to buying American. If the price on those foreign cars go way up, then they may be prone to looking into a US built vehicle.

The only way to MAGA is to cut off all trade with globalist commie countries including commie China and all Europistan. This is absolute requirement of MAGA.

Fair trade is a requirement, not no trade. We are too dependent on foreign goods to just turn the off spigot.

There is no such thing as fair trade with globalist commie countries. When you trade with the devil, you always lose.
