Velikovsky's Worlds in Collision.
It doesn't tell WHY it happened but the effects..the results of the event. Talking about bones from animals in African being tossed into deep crevices with animals from England. Giant rocks from Scandanavian sources being found down in Switzerland. The list goes on. It's a very dry read, but VERY interesting, if not terrifying.

Velikovsky describes the Worlds in Collision, and he may of or may not of known, that it was Jupiter colliding with the Asteroid Planet. We also lost an Earth moon, and there is a missing intra-Mecurial planet as well. More than just Immanuel thought Venus moved. The Worlds in Collision, is actually the "War in Heaven", the "Path of the Dragon". That created the situation we find ourselves in now. People need to understand what happened when the Sun was displaced 4110 miles from where it was prior, and that leads to "Let there be Light" being proclaimed. We are living under grace now until the end. There is one who came first, to bath us in the Sun of what OP mentioned.
"...clothing and shielding of the suns warmth..." It is one of my references Rose8. Classic and timeless. Our current generation does not take the time to read anymore it seems. These old books were penned b4 the internet. The people need to understand, we are all part of this mystery. All of us are together in this. We were predestined to be part of the grand plan. Just remember, you are more than flesh and bones. Do not be afraid, but be joyful in what is being unveiled.
OP is spot on in talking about this topic. It has consumed me since the 70's. And, when I found the answer, it lead me to the mystery of life itself, I was relieved of a great burden, only to take on another one, and that was to tell the World what I uncovered from over 100+ years ago. Magnetic forces keep the mantle "rigid". So, we need to seek "why" magma frees itself and moves, or flows without much resistance. I think you will find, he knows where we are headed as well as I.
