Bible - ONE Gospel - FROM God - THRU Jesus - Taught by ALL of the Apostles - NOT Just Paul
Rightly divide the word of truth

People today who are looking for salvation doctrine in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John will not find it there.

Matthew 15:24 says Jesus' ministry was for Israel.

Our gospel of salvation today was given by Paul, from Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Romans 3:24-25

Faith must be solely in His blood atonement for our sins.
 Quoting: Expose ALL Shills

Paul wasn't the only one. The other Apostles taught the SAME Gospel.

And ALL were sent out to teach "to all the world".

The phrase "gospel of" occurs 32 times in 31 verses in the KJV.

[link to www.blueletterbible.org (secure)]

Here's a list of the different "names" used in the KJV for the Gospel.

"gospel of the kingdom" occurs 4 times in 4 verses in the KJV.

"gospel of God" occurs 7 times in 7 verses in the KJV.

"gospel of Christ" occurs 11 times in 11 verses in the KJV.

Here's 10 other "gospel of" phrases.

gospel of Jesus Christ
gospel of the grace of God
gospel of his Son
gospel of your salvation
2) gospel of peace
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
gospel of the blessed God
gospel of the uncircumcision
gospel of the circumcision

Let's see if we can make ONE general "sentence" incorporating most of those phrases.

gospel of God
gospel of the blessed God
- "The Gospel, as proclaimed by God,"

gospel of the kingdom
gospel of your salvation
gospel of the grace of God
- "concerning the future kingdom of God, which requires salvation through God's grace,"

gospel of Christ
gospel of Jesus Christ
gospel of his Son
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
- "through belief in Jesus, His Son, the Christ,"

gospel of peace - "by whom will we receive peace through belief in Him".
==================================

Here it is: "The Gospel, as proclaimed by God, concerning the future kingdom of God, which requires salvation through God's grace, through belief in Jesus, His Son, the Christ, by whom will we receive peace through belief in Him".

ONE Gospel allows for this verse in Romans to be truly realized as "all encompasing".

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Juu and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Correct!
 Quoting: javierruizleon

NONSENSE.

Jesus is the Gospel. Sent by the Father.

The other 11 Apostles taught for 3+ years BEFORE Paul.

What were THEY teaching?

Gospel of salvation was given to Paul?

Point #1

Salvation actually comes from God. The Father...OUR Father...SENT His Son Jesus to us.

And EVERYTHING Jesus said was FROM the Father.

See this.

John 12

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but he Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.

Point #2

Our Father...Abba...Jehovah...Yahweh...had NUMEROUS prophets telling the people to REPENT in the Old Testament.

AND He told Isaiah to tell the people...

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD : though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

BOTH John the Baptist and Jesus preached repentance.

Matthew 3:2 and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"

Matthew 4:17 (KJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Point #3

That said, here's Jesus AGAIN...about both repenting...AND "believe the gospel".

Mark 1:15 And saying*, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe* the gospel.

Matthew mentioning the "preaching of the Gospel".

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Point #4

The 11 original Apostles and Matthias were preaching the gospel of salvation for at LEAST 3 years BEFORE Paul, as he spent 3 years in the desert.

By YOUR analogy, their preaching meant nothing.

Point #5 - LAST but MOST Important

THESE are the MOST significant words Jesus said about Salvation.

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Paul was just another Apostle sent out by Jesus. No better....no worse. His letters to the various churches dealt with probems in those churches, and documented his efforts to resolve them as much if not more than giving additional instruction.

He was sent NORTH...NOT to the places the OTHER Apostles had already been to.

Sorry, but your analogy of 2 different gospels is skewed. AND it would require that Paul would have been sent to all the places the other Apostles had been to, which didn't happen.

It's all ONE Gospel.

Grace / forgivenes...comes from repentance...AND from Belief and Faith, which is at the core of what they ALL taught.

That’s your proof? Hmmm, I write and some thoughts down, fake of course to support my delusions. Then a future guy reads it and BAM, it is proof of something, I think not.
 Quoting: sailormon

Fake?

Everything I stated was backed up with scripture to prove the points.

Scriptural FACTS.

1. Barnabas took Paul to Jerusalem specifically to see if he was on the SAME PAGE as Peter and the rest of the Apostles.

2. Jesus tells the Apostles that "THE Gospel" is to be preached to ALL the world. NOT "the GOSPELS" (plural - more than one). AND Jesus TOLD them to go to "all the world" -(Matthew 28:19). They taught to some of the same Gentiles as Paul did.

A...Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

B...Mark 14:9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

C...Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

D...Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

E...Luke 9:6 And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

F...Revelation it's referred to as "the everlasting Gospel".
ONE Gospel - not plural gospels.

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

G...Jesus main mission was to Israel, but yet He didn't refuse Gentiles. SAME Gospel to the Gentiles as to the Hebrews.

...the Centurian
...the Caananite woman / "bread crumbs from the table"
...the Samaritans

So what is the "everlasting gospel" I've heard about? *rolls eyes*

Genesis 6:8
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

I didn't know Paul was a time traveller.

Romans 4:16
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Newsflash: we have always been saved by faith, and grace. That is the everlasting gospel.

Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. You gave your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst. Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you and cast your law behind their back and killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you, and they committed great blasphemies.

I lost all respect for you after you deleted my post in your "2 witnesses" thread. The post was benign and had nothing at all that would require deletion other than you did not like it.

Go ahead and delete this one too, if you want.
 Quoting: Laughing Falcon

I will. Stay on topic and refute the points I made.

Your post in the other topic was unnecessary clutter and added nothing to the topic.

Jesus Christ is God the Father also. Other than that you're right OP.
Quoting: Jesus Christ Is God Almighty!

So Jesus resurrected Himself, sent Himself, begat himself, sits at the right hand of himself, is the mediator between men and Himself, prays to himself, created the world by himself, is his own witness, alone, etc, etc.

That's not Biblical in the least!

Jesus raised himself:
St. John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
St. John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
St. John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Easily explained by understanding THIS part of John 10:18

St. John 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

The Father COMMANDED His Son Jesus to "raise Himself".

By accepting that, you can now see how Gal 1:1 and Rom 8:11 are MEANT to be understood.

Galatians 1:1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

21 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

Jesus denied NO ONE.

The "crumbs" / pagan woman.
The centurion.
The Samaritans.

He ALSO told the Apostles to "teach the gospel throughout the world".

You folks know the verses.

................................................

IF you folks actually read the last half of Acts you will see that Paul went into Hebrew synagogues in his travels. Even in ROME.

Verses to prove my point about synagogues.

why were the people in Jerusalem not called Christians... the first Christians were in Pauls church...

"And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch: and it came to pass that a whole year they were conversant with the Church, and taught much people, insomuch that the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch."

This was AT LEAST 10 years AFTER the Crucifixion... what were Peter and the 11 preaching during that time?... it wasn't the gospel of Grace... THAT was one of the mysteries, and completely unknown to the 12... it was only given to Paul..

When Jesus said his message was to Israel only, why don't you believe him?
When the Holy Spirit tells us, through Paul, that Paul is the apostle of the Gentiles, why don't you believe it?

Paul Paul Paul

Do you follow Paul...or Jesus and the Father?

Grace is the RESULT of forgiveness.

Forgiveness that is brought about by REPENTANCE.

Thread: Bible - ONE Gospel - FROM God - THRU Jesus - Taught by ALL of the Apostles - NOT Just Paul

I follow Paul, like I'm instructed to do by the Holy Spirit...

"For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the Gospel.Wherefore, I pray you, be followers of me."

"According to the grace of God given to me, as a skillful master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon: but let every man take heed how he buildeth upon it.For other foundation can no man lay, than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

"Be ye followers of me, even as I am of Christ:"

"To him now that is of power to establish you according to my Gospel, and preaching of Jesus Christ, by the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began:"

Paul was given the mystery of the body of Christ... a secret hidden from man since the world began... completely unknown to Peter and the 11.

The Holy Spirit would NOT tell someone to "follow Paul".

That's utterly rediculous.

Paul has a "secret"?

Re: Bible - ONE Gospel - FROM God - THRU Jesus - Taught by ALL of the Apostles - NOT Just Paul
TLS... I'll not doubt your love for the Lord... but the word of GOD is one big contradiction until you "rightly divide the word of truth"... than it opens up like a beautiful flower...

Peter is looking for tribulation...Paul is looking for rapture

Paul states ALL things are lawful for the body of Christ... NOWHERE does Christ state this concerning the priesthood...James says salvation is through WORKS AND FAITH...

Paul was given the mysteries which were/are hidden from the priesthood... Israel... "blindness in part has come unto th house of Israel until the fullness of the gentiles be come in"

All the promises to Israel are earthly... all the promises to the body of Christ are heavenly...

When Christ stated his message was only to Israel, why don't you believe it? You had to be a PURE Jew to be in the priesthood, not even a Sumerian, (part jew) qualified.

When we are told Paul is the apostle of the gentiles, why don't you believe it?

There's a HUGE difference between the relationship Christ has with the priesthood and the body of Christ. The priesthood was under the law... the body of Christ aren't.

What was Peter preaching when it will be at least another 10 years after the death of Christ that before Paul was given the gospel of grace.... Peter was preaching the gospel of the kingdom to the Jews... the coming of their king.

Think about the organization of the Catholic church, which is Satans faux representation of Christ's church during the 1000 year kingdom reign ... who has the more intimate relationship... the priests, under the law, or those that are married (co-heirs) to the ruler of the church...

The word of GOD tells us Romans through Philemons is to the body of Christ...

Blessings and peace...

Pauls' gospel? Nonsense.

We don't know everything that Paul taught, but the fact that he regularly checked in at Jerusalem tells us that what he taught was in agreement with what the other Apostles taught...which is what Jesus Himself taught.

Every place Paul went - he went to a synagogue.

IF you actually read the last half of Acts you will see that Paul also ran into Hebrew synagogues in his travels. Even in ROME.

Verses to prove my point about synagogues.

Re: Bible - ONE Gospel - FROM God - THRU Jesus - Taught by ALL of the Apostles - NOT Just Paul

"gospel of God"
occurs 7 times in 7 verses in the KJV.

"gospel of Christ" occurs 11 times in 11 verses in the KJV.

Here's 10 other "gospel of" phrases.

gospel of Jesus Christ
gospel of the grace of God
gospel of his Son
gospel of your salvation
2) gospel of peace
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
gospel of the blessed God
gospel of the uncircumcision
gospel of the circumcision

Let's see if we can make ONE general "sentence" incorporating most of those phrases.

gospel of God
gospel of the blessed God
- "The Gospel, as proclaimed by God,"

gospel of the kingdom
gospel of your salvation
gospel of the grace of God
- "concerning the future kingdom, which requires salvation through God's grace,"

gospel of Christ
gospel of Jesus Christ
gospel of his Son
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ
- "through belief in Jesus, His Son, the Christ,"

gospel of peace - "by whom will we receive peace through belief in Him".

There's ONE Gospel - which has been given different "names" in the New Testament.
Jesus tells the Apostles several times that "the Gospel" is to be preached to all the world.
That would include Gentiles.
Scriptural proof.

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Matthew 26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them....

Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

Mark 14:9 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

This verse in Revelation is decisive that there is only one Gospel - "the everlasting gospel".

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

NONSENSE.

Paul preached the SAME things as the OTHER Apostles.

Barnabas took Paul to Jerusalem specifically to see if he was on the SAME PAGE as Peter and the rest of the Apostles.

Point - Paul was "chosen" to go to the Gentiles, but his travels, as documented in the (KJV) Book of Acts, show us that EVERYWHERE Paul went - he went to the synagogues FIRST.
This proves that Paul had the same Gospel as the other Apostles, who were to preach "to the world".

Damascus Acts 9:20
Salamis Acts 13:5
Antioch Acts 13:14
Iconium Acts 14:1
Thessalonica Acts 17:1
Berea Acts 17:10
Athens Acts 17:16
Corinth Acts 18:4
Ephesus Acts 18:19

Point - The 10 Commandments are STILL in effect.
Jesus mentions them in Matthew 5 and Matthew 19.
Paul and John mention them in these verses.

1 Thessalonians 4:2 For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

1 John 2

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

MANY folks argue that Jesus' 2 commandments replaces the Father's original 10.
Let's compare what was said.

Father God TOLD Jesus what to say while He was on earth. See here in John 12:49-50

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
=====================================

Jesus "2 Commandments" are merely a simplified version of the 10 Commandments.

Notice that if you "LOVE God" as stated Deu 6:5 and Mat 22:37, this ONE statement is basically a "blanket" of the First 4 Commandments of Exodus 20.

Now look at what Jesus said following Mat 22:37.

Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou
shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang
all the law and the prophets.

That SINGLE statement, IF followed, covers the final 6 Commandments quite nicely!

Therefore, by following Jesus' 2 commandments, you should automatically be following the Father's 10.

John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

NOPE.

There's ONE Gospel. Notice above that Paul says "our Gospel". Who ELSE besides Paul? The other Apostles, ALL teaching the SAME Gospel.

I would BET that you folks haven't even read ANY what I've posted. All you care about is defending your "seperate gospels" nonsense.

...Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

...Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
...Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

You're missing the point. And John is mixing Jesus' "love one another" commandment with John 3:16.

IF we "Love one another" - it covers the last 6 of the Father's 10 Commandments. It's a simplified commandment.

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.
