Bermuda Triangle mystery 'solved,' scientists claim
British scientists believe 100ft ‘rogue’ waves could be the reason why so many boats have been sunk in the mysterious Bermuda Triangle.

The infamous body of water in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean stretches 700,000 square km (270,271 square miles) between Florida, Bermuda and Puerto-Rico.

Also known as the Devil’s Triangle, the area features multiple shipping lanes and has claimed over 1,000 lives in the last 100 years.

But experts at the University of Southampton believe the mystery can be explained by a natural phenomenon known as “rogue waves.”

Exactly, this rouge wave bullshit has been mentioned awhile back as well.

Totally fails to take into account the many missing air craft.

lol how ridiculous. So, they expect us to believe that "rogue waves" have been responsible for this for several decades yet they only discovered it in 1997 despite hi tech weather monitoring and studies? And what of the ships found with no one on board but tables were set, meals still in the plates, drinks still in the glasses? We're to believe a 100 foot wave killed the crew and disposed of them but left their dinner alone? hahahahhahaha, whatever. Desperate science with no proof...

Actually the article is only discussing boats, but your point is valid. From what I have read and heard, the area is prone to rapid and sudden, adverse weather changes. That is what, at least initiates the disappearance of both planes and surface vessels. When the missing vessels and planes sink to the bottom, the areas strong undersea currents quick drag the debris out beyond, I gather, recovery depths. This is why they vanish without a trace.

Incidently, I have personally travelled, by ship, through the middle of triangle and I am still here. Or am I???? [Insert evil laugh here]

Such a baited report without any real theories or evidence. Jus them showing that a wave can sink a boat...DUH. Heard this stuff for years. They are just preying on virgin minds never offering any real evidence of why or where the rogue waves form. Oh by the way... Plane and shit go missing too. As a matter of fact a whole squadron of planes went missing. Those sure are some high waves.

The most interesting answer i've heard on this topic was that of methane bubbles. The density difference would cause a ship to go under fairly fast.

I believe it has been debunked, but at the very least it was a logical answer
