Yeah, I actually plan on being that train’s conductor.

It’s just odd, because it doesn’t feel like fall to me at all. Remember how you and I have talked about the weird homesick type feeling we experience as autumn approaches, and how we can even physically feel the season coming before it arrives? Last year we both felt it coming in like mid-July. Well this year, I’ve barely felt it. Just a little bit in August. I don’t have that homesick feeling. I don’t want to hibernate. Rather, I feel super energetic and electric, like I do in the spring. This is the first autumn I’ve ever experienced this.

Mmmm...gumbo

I baked up some homemade bread yesterday and decided to make myself a fancy sandwich out of it. Hummus, grilled zucchini, pepper jack cheese, baby spinach, tomato, red onion, and kalamata olives. Had it with tomato basil soup. So good.

Happy the weather is finally cool enough to enjoy soups, stews, and gumbos again.

It will likely be back in the upper 90s with 100% humidity by next week. Texas is manic like that. Trying to live up this little piece of autumn while its here.

Same here indeed. But since today it is starting to feel like Autumn finally arrived... we'll see, this year's endless summer was something entirely new.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still experiencing it. I hope that you’re given the time you need to rest.

Thanks. I do have to say this year is not as intense. This is the first year in quite a few that things are more stable for me. I've been going through a very deep transformation this year too. I need a lot of rest during these times and I've found the less I resist resting the less likely it forms into full blown depression. I'm noticing a correlation with this. Programming immediately tries to make me feel bad for needing more rest which triggers the feelings of depression.

In 24 hours between yesterday and today I slept 14 hours ha.
