Did they get enough rain to help put out the fire that was burning the ancient forest? Thanks

No, last I heard, the fire was twice as big as yesterday.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Creating a hurricane:
Takes a very fine silica particles, for Atlantic Region it is coming from Sahara, for Pacific it is coming from Gobi Desert. At standard conditions you can pretty much predict hurricane/typhoon seasons by observing amount of silica that had been blown from deserts into the ocean area.
Other factors: volcano eruption, earthquakes etc..
2010 one of most active hurricane seasons, precursor was Iceland volcano.
Now we have a lot of silica dust around Hawaii from volcano, now you have hurricane forming there.
Tornados and thunderstorms, also depend on the silica dust and certain atmospheric condition. Dust bowl area of US has a lot of fine silica and tornados.

To be more specific “silicates” from wind erosion, vulcano erruption, and human activities such as mining or burning that become airborne and lifted Into the atmosphere causing “abnormal weather” or unpredictable pattern.

Projections show it fizzling out somewhere in the Pacific near nothing.

HALL OF FAILS :D

I'm glad it didn't do damage. I've looked on projection models world-wide and I don't see anything MAJOR for the next seven days on it except down by Antarctica...so if you're planning a sailing trip around the world right now, you might just want to rethink those plans because you're 99% likely to die a horribly bad death on the high seas. And probably get eaten by a shark if you don't drown.

NowIlayMe

Many people world-wide have been praying for the
folks in the Hawaiian Islands--with the scare from
Kilauea, they didn't need any MORE on their plate.

I sent up a few prayers myself, and I would hardly
call your thread a "Hall of Fails" since God certainly
has shown his mercy in this case.

Glad it is over (it is right?)
