UPDATE: 1st try at Red Maeng Da Kratom 6:20pm CST

First of all three teaspoons is too much for your first dose. You should have started with only one first - you can always increase later.

Effects always hit me well under ten minutes... so you should already feel something yourself!

Second, unless you like the taste of fish food, you should mix it with something to mask the taste. I use Chocolate Instant Breakfast boosted with Hershey's syrup and an envleope of Instant Cocoa mix for my daily dose and it covers the flavor really well. That single teaspoon takes care of me for about 3-1/2-4 hrs. - but different Kratom doses DO hit different people in different ways!

I presume you did some research on the different strains of Kratom. While White Maeng Da is perfect for my PTSD, Red elevates my mood too much. So don't dismiss the entire herb, if the Red doesn't fill your needs!

Luckily, Kratom is still widely available, legal and cheap enough that you can find whichever one -White, Red or Green Vein- is best for you. Similarly, Bali, Borneo and Indonesian varieties are also different and each offers unique effects.

One final thing: just like "designer Pot" it seems like sellers are coming up with all kinds of catchy names -and promises- for their products. Just remember there are only about ten true different strains of Kratom.

Odd that you mention Vicodin.... that's precisely the feeling I always get.

BTW: it pays to shop around! The first Kratom I ordered cost me about $9.00/ounce; later I found someone selling the same lab-certified products for only $5.50/oz when purchased in four-ounce pouches. I already like the idea that I have a full pound onhand just in case the FDA goes full-Mideaval on Kratom.

But I great enjoyed Kratom when I tried it.

GSB...I had knee surgery a couple of months ago & it exasperated the arthritis in my knee, I am not good with pain pills....at all, but after about an hour after taking this Kratom, the pain is relieved as well as my anxiety. I know it is still early, but I love this stuff so far.

BTW...I mixed it in hot water as a tea, drank it very fast and then washed it down with a glass of ice cold green tea.

Might as well double the dose. I have tried kratom for someone else to see its potency regarding opiate withdrawals. If you are looking for more, there is more. At least with the kratom I've tried.

Parachuting it is the best way, I think, if you do not have capsules.

There is absolutely no way that this stuff should be banned ANYWHERE!

Basicially 3 types. Red, white and green vein. Reds are more sedating. Whites are stimulating. Green varieties are a mix between the two.

You will also find the name comes from where they are grown such as bali, malay, sumatra. The name also varies between Maeng Da and Horned Maeng Da varieties. This indicates new and old growth.

Some vendors will mix different strains for a different effect profile also calling them yellow or golden.

You’ll know if you took too much, you’ll puke lol. Best to take it on an empty stomach to get the full effect. I like the tea but it tastes awful I usually use the capsules but it’s easy to take too many and end up puking. Another thing, DO NOT drink any alcohol while taking kratom, bad news.

I have always heard red is for pain, white for energy, & green is sedating. We take a mix of red & green for back & arthritis pain. I make a tea out of our kratom powder.

I honestly think it is just branding. I don't know. I've tried them all... I do know that White Maeng Da is the best all around for pain and potency (I have found through a vendor personally and told by the person I gave it to).

It gives you a burst of pain relief and energy and lasts for about three hours after which you crash hard in a sleepy way unless you redose. It is a real opiate substitute for someone with severe pain who lacks medication or is in withdrawals from lack thereof.

Crank it to 11 and party on!

Legal in my state...so far.

I purchase mine a kilo at a time for great price break. I get it in 1/2 to 1lb packages per kilo. I get mixed stains for different uses.

3 teaspoons is ok. If youre serious about quitting alcahol, take a little more a couple few hours from now and get a pint of blue bell, eat it, and got yo sleep. Alcahol is powerful so u may wake up later in the night, just take some more till you break the hold of alcahol
