Christ on a cracker! I've been exposed to Scarlet Fever!

I will try to find the video I watched about how when
you are dealing with a sudden illness...DON'T BELIEVE YOUR
THOUGHTS.

It sounds really simplistic, because there is always a
level of "depression" that comes with the territory of being
suddenly ill...but it's logical that ALL ILLNESS--even
the fear of being exposed to a serious illness--has its
own component in the mind.

I think the video was by Eckhart Tolle--he has said this
in earlier videos talking about "think of your thoughts
as CLOUDS"...They can be whispy and happy...but they can
also be the type of cloud ANGRY or OPPRESSIVE (like the
clouds you see forming with tornadoes/storms.) In the end
...they all get blown away by the wind and the NEW DAY
comes.

I know NOT to believe my thoughts when ill...but there I
was last week with food poisoning from the RITZ Cracker
recall and my brain was ON GLUE. I believed it for awhile
...but then felt better as the symptoms faded and my
clarity returned.

funny you should say that. i am just getting over it. I just came back from a cruise to Alaska but the plane(s) ride home lasted nearly 20 hours so I'm sure thats where i caught it. only 2 days from coming back started with strep then tonsillitis and then that gave me that rash your speaking of with 103.9 fever, puking. Its the sickest i have ever been and i dont get sick very often. Thankfully this is day 3 of the z pack and i feel 99%.

The above brought back such sad, horrific memories for me.
We were a family of nine. Just after wwii, i was only about five, my older sister, about 15,when one of us got scarlet fever and turned scarlet with the rash.One by one we all got it... we couldnt afford a doctor and most recovered readily by letting the fever run its course but hers turned into rheumatic fever and she almost died.Penicillin was not availabe back then.

for months, Dad and mom had to give her pain and then bend her legs or she would be crippled for life, some of our neighbors kids were! Her screams drove us out in the freezing weather where we cried for her till the therapy was over. My dad really hated having her cry. But she lived and could walk...but the Dr. said Mary must never have kids and be an invalid due to severe heart damage.

Well that lasted for a few years till she fell in love and married. They had two children by accident, ended up with them going to Mayo for a valve replacement, where Mary died on operating table, age 39. They said her heart was like a seive, full of damage.
She was a lovely person.

No, strep has not been eradicated. Scarlet fever is a complication of untreated strep throat, your body reacting to a toxin.

Strep throat can be treated with antibiotics. However, many doctors nowadays are so "anti-antibiotic" that they refuse to treat strep throat, or even test for it. There is no excuse for this, as there is a quick-test throat swab for strep throat. Insist on a throat swab!

The large outbreaks of scarlet fever, followed by rheumatic fever, were mostly eradicated with the advent of antibiotics. By the mid-1960s, people hoped those outbreaks were a thing of the past. However, outbreaks started happening again in certain communities.

There is a perfect storm waiting to happen right now. Many doctors have never seen a casr of scarlet fever, and are unfamiliar with rheumatic fever. They also have become anti-antibiotic, while at the same time refusing to believe that children and adults can get strep throat, and that failing to treat it with antibiotics can have devastating lifelong health consequences.

Often strep, scarlet fever and rheumatic fever followed the measles. Many communities nowchave rejected measles vaccines. Strep is out there, as before. Add this to doctors who are antibiotic-opposed, and have never seen scarlet fever or rheumatic fever, which were the scourge of previous generations of children. Double-whammy: complacency by the medical community and segments of the population in the face of a public health threat. This is not something to take lightly.

I urge you to demand a throat swab and refuse to leave until you get one, if you or your child has a suspicious sore throat. Do NOT let it go.

I discovered Eckhart Tolle from a gift book from my daughter
way back in 2002!....That's 16 years ago, and the man is
still contributing to the "collective good." Wow.

You could listen to that video (above) and APPLY IT TO
OTHER THINGS besides a chronic illness.

For example, when my husband was active in Alcoholics Anonymous (he's 25 years sober now) we decided that the
practice of having each member who participates in the
group discussion identify as "Hi...I'm (blank)...and
I'm a ALCOHOLIC" is good for the beginner to get past
the denial part of this disease.

However to continually rehash devastating history and
I.D.ing one's self over and over as "the DISEASE"...can
actually contribute to a relapse since, as Tolle suggests,
you think of yourself as a SICK PERSON. That can't be a
positive "diet" for anyone's mind. (We found a book called
"The Small Book" which counters the AA practice of I.D.ing
with the DISEASE and it seems to work just as well long
term.) I think both are extremely valuable.

ALSO WITH I.D.'ING AS AN "OLD PERSON" is counter to
your health. It is the same mind-set as I.D.ing with
a chronic illness.

OUR NATURAL STATE (according most spiritual practices)
is to be whole, healthy, living in the PRESENT MOMENT,
AND enjoying "bliss." If we find we are in any other
state of mind--and most of the time we are NOT blissful,
right?--the we need to balance and come back to it.
Tolle gives lots of examples how to do this--even something
as simple of concentrating on the feeling in your hands
(he mentions this in the video)--can get you back in balance
but you need to EMBRACE THIS FULLY for it to work for you.

My son had it when he was 2 they called it scarletina just like scarlet but not as bad as in the olden days because they said it was irradiated. So now it changed. Everyone was exposed but Noone else got it. Very high fever and under the skin red rash not raised like tiny small red rash really bad on diaper area neck stomach back any under arms.
If you did get it you'll be ok in this day n age.

Yep, its untreated strep that causes scarlet fever and the scarlet can also damage your heart!!!!

Yes, I'm using colloidal silver throat spray. I've also powered up on D3K2, and I'm trying to take two probiotics a day. That's kinda hard because I'm only eating just about once a day these days, and I have to eat twice to take the antibiotics, and then twice with the probiotics that I can't take anywhere around the antibiotics. I also take host of supplements.

I have zero symptoms today, and will continue on with the antibiotics until they're gone.

I'm going to be fine, and I'm sure so is my son's girlfriend. She's told me her rash is fading already.

I'm still having a rough time today. I dunno, I probably shouldn't have stuffed my feelings for months. I'm paying for it now.
