Satanists don't believe Satan was evil. So why are Satanists evil?

Most of everything that makes a Satanist a Satanist is inspired from the teachings of Aleister Crowley.

He basically wrote the book on the dos and don'ts.

I don't know much about it myself, but I know enough to know it's stuff I don't want to mess around with.

Crowley based it on that Kaballah.

I've seen that mentioned on a few YouTube channels I watch, but haven't researched it farther.

There are 3 different kinds of self-labeled Satanists.

1. Ones that say they are just because they hate Christianity and western morals.

2. People that think the Bible was misinterpreted and Satan/Lucifer is good or just misunderstood.

3. Actual occultists that practice magic and try to draw power from Satan.

All of them are bad, but the #3 kinds are obviously the worst.

Democrats don't believe that Bernie Sanders is wrong. Does that make Socialism in the USA right?

Satan is the prototypical atheist.

Evil does not share the need to be logical.

Well Satan is considered the Father of Lies.

It’s about your spiritual energy and often body flluids of some sort. Satanists are powerless against God and need his followers energy. The goal is for Lucifer to take as many souls as he can to the pit with him. Often using the proverbial carrot on the stick technique. There is a battle for your soul and the dark forces are in it to win it at any cost. It’s not a game, it’s your very soul he’s after. And will attempt to take it by any means necessary.

First of all, I am NOT a Satanist, I am probably closer to a Christian.

That said, consider this question - How many wars have been started, and how many lives lost, sometimes horrifically, all in the name of God and how many in the name of Satan?

Simple put - how many wars fought in the name of God and how many wars fought in the name of Satan?

I am not an expert, but I can't think of any battles or wars fought in the name of Satan!

Regarding your post title - I am sure that there are also some good-hearted Satanists and of course as the record stands - there are not just some, but many, especially among Christian religions, that are, by their actions and non-actions, pure evil.

So I guess that I am saying - look past the titles or names of these belief structures, and judge their natures! As it is written - the tree shall be known by its fruits.

I remember having a chat with my uncle (This isn't about random intel, sorry) who's a Christian; goes to church, all that stuff.

I asked him if he ever thought it was possible that Satan had tricked everyone into worshipping him as God since religion had spilled more blood than anything else.

He said he didn't believe so. Me,I'm not so sure. It would be one hell of a plot twist. He is the master deceiver, so there's that also.

For #3, FivelCubed, those are the types of people who you shouldn't mess with under any circumstances. They wield Magick and you do not. What's more is such people almost definitely draw their Magickal power(s) from their god who is most likely a fallen angel, a truly evil Magickal being, and/or a Magickally strong demon. Magick isn't something to be trifled with it can destroy you with amazing ease if you don't know what you're doing.

I'm pretty sure what they publish to us and what they really think are two different things and that Satanists are in it for one thing: they think they can get power.

A Christian has absolutely nothing to fear from sorcerers or even Satan himself. You cannot curse what God has blessed.

Only if one has gained one or more Blessings from Him, Photina. I honestly don't believe that Humanity has any idea what any Blessings from Him truly are. Just look at the current state of Humanity. The species threw away every one of His Blessings a long time ago for Lucifer and Satan's drastically lesser blessings.

I'll let you know, Photina, that every human who has ever gotten any Blessings from God of the Universe dang near every human around him or her winds up enviously assailing, raping, murdering, and/or so much worse to such individuals. What's even more tragic is Blessings from Him are individual-based. So this means if you had a Blessing from Him I would not be able to steal it from you under any circumstance.
