Quoting: Anonymous Cowarcl She was never convicted of assaulting Nancy Kerrigan, only of "obstructing the prosecution". Consider, Russian Olympic athletes who have been busted for drug-cheating are often only banned for a couple of years, but she got a LIFETIME BAN for something that is NOTHING to do with Ice Skating. This naturally gifted woman would have so much to offer children from a poor background who could not normally afford an Olympic level coach, yet she has to work doing gardening for people, because she is banned from ICE SKATING. Look, the only reason why they came after her in the first place was because she was not part of the "rich establishment". Surely, isn't it time for clemency? I don't want that bitch around children, EVER she can offer them nothing good Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Quoting: abeliever Nancy K had her career taken from her by Tonya Harding who was involved in hiring someone to break Nancy's knees to remove Nancy from the competition. It seems only fair for Tonya to lose her career too. I hope Miss Harding has spent 20 years repenting for what she did to Nancy. I will never forget that moment. I watched it and cried for Nancy. I knew right then, it was over for Nancy. OP.. I have no idea why you would support such a violent person. Tonya was and is a troubled woman. It's too bad she never learned from the horrible thing she did to Nancy. ^^ this ^^ Liberalism is totalitarianism with a human face – Thomas Sowell |

Quoting: Anonymous Cowarcl Nancy Kerrigan's brother beat her father to death with a telephone. He got 2 1/2 year jail sentence, while Tonya Harding is banned for LIFE for obstructing a prosecutor. I've only read about this incident a bit- but I guess it depends on if there was enough evidence to prove she was in on the crime. If there wasn't enough proof, she shouldn't have been banned in the first place. If there was proof, I have no problem with a lifetime ban. |

They banned her because she tried to brutally eliminate her competition by having her legs injured. It was a clemency that they did not totally drag her through court. She didn't end up in jail. Isn't that clemency? *** Good deeds bring rewards, bad actions bring troubles. That is a law of the universe. *** |
