How powerful is your Guitar Multi FX Pedal/processor

Still comes up short for Kirk hammett

I use Bias on an ipad/focusrite doc/QSC when I am screwing around in my yard. It can sound brutal af. But for serious shit I use an Axe-FX II XL.

FW 10 is insane.

I have had numerous peeps ask me where I am hiding the amps...

But how many can you play at the same time?

I have a pair of those. Good, good shit.

How often do you have to replace the tube?

I have made 300 pedals from scratch mosty on stripboard. I can make any wah tone i want nad have a super wah that has 6 dif inductors. The halo the italian film can the square tdk clock the fasels red and yellow. Analog rules. I owned some of those multi effects pedals 10-20 years ago they do ten thousand things but not a single tone compares or out does a analog pedal. The modeling stuff is really great now days though. I have a 1977 50w fawn marshall half stack vintage 30 speakers and a 1973 100w jmp half stack with 25 greenbacks. I have 7 dif gain and overdrive pedals my favorites are rangemasters and vox tonebender then jeckyl hyde boss super overdrive ZEN drive, bluesbreaker and mi audio crunch box . these are my gain pedals ha ha

I have an old Bedrock 621, sort of a boutique amp back in the 90's, no longer made

25 watts that will rip your face off. The clean channel doesn't have that much headroom, but what, am I playin country?!

I have an axe fx but now dont use the amp sims. I use it for Impulse responses and some effects. I use amps (diezel, bogner, etc) into a suhr reactive load box witb my pedals in the loop of the amps. Silent recording and indistinguishable from micing

Through a Mooer GE200 & a Zoom AC3 direct into mixing desk.

The tube runs surprisingly cool. I had an earlier version that I lost in the shipwreck that I had for 8 years and it was still running strong.

I had BK build me another one with the bias option and it sounds even better! No need to buy a Mesa now! I just use a little solid state Marshall and it sounds incredible! Better than my 78 JMP 50w head!

Real amps are still cool... When you have an Axe FX what you do for noodling in your room is plug it into a pair of studio monitors...
What you can do when you want real volume is buy an FRFR speaker. Which is a self powered speaker cab but designed not to compress or color the sound(because the processor has many cabinet models it can simulate so you get the sound of different speakers and cabs).

Heres a great video showing what the Axe FX can do with its drive pedal models.

I play bass and every time I use effects live I just get lost in the mix. My bass projects better clean.

But when I noodle at home on guitar I use a Zoom g1on. I love the built in looper pedal and drum machine.

Gibson Flying V or an ESP mirage straight into a Marshall DSL 20 stack.

The Zoom G series is amazing for creativity. I use the first generation G3 for writing at home. The delays, looper, and rhythm are worth it alone.

I love going direct. Sansamp bass di and sometimes EHX Bass metaphors. Otherwise my 8x10 kills my back.

If I had money to burn I would get running water first. Musician in a shack, you know the story. But yes I would get an axe fx.

That sounds awesome, it really does, and I know I need to move into the 21st Century, but c'mon, EVERY speaker colors the sound.

Like AT said, it's perfect at bedroom levels, but when it's stage time, you and your fans will know the difference.
