I think maybe the forefathers knew exactly what the fuck they were doing. I've never seen such cry babies triggered by the liberty they have. They don't give a shit about America. They want to turn it into another shithole. There's plenty of shitholes already. I recommend they try one of those out and get back to us about how "unfair" the Constitution is.

Exactly why we have the 2nd amendment. So we, the citizenry can forcibly drag our "elected" officials out into the street and execute them. At will. AT THE FIRST sign of treason. The government should be a somber responsibility and they SHOULD fear the citizenry. Not the other way.

So...all you social justice types can go with them, you dont get to do whatever you want just because you think it should be that way.

Re: NYT: The Constitution Is An Out-Dated, Anti-Democratic Relic
They're right. Let's abolish the constitution. Then 5 minutes later, Trump can send troops in to take control of every media studio in America including CNN, and all the 3 letter networks.

Afterall, it's only the Constitution protecting them from him doing what SHOULD be done. Then we can round up all the liberals and drop them off in blue states of their choice, forever abolished from Red states.

Sounds good. Then we can re-adopt the Constitution to be followed by civilized people.
 Quoting: ISO

The power for a sitting President would be abolished along with the Constitution, the only document that grants that power. He would no longer be President, and would no longer be in control of the military. The military would break into factions if anything, and a power struggle would ensue. We would be ripe picking for the jackals waiting for us to collapse as well.
But that's just how I see it. Could be wrong...

There you have it President Trump, the ESTABLISHMENT has OFFICIALLY declared war on this CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC.

This isn’t just one person’s opinion, this is the collective.

You have just under 3 months to LOCK HER UP and make good on draining the swamp otherwise you will not be re-elected Mr. President.

Not even 1 arrest yet speaks volumes and blaming Sessions is just an excuse.

Americans are real tired of hearing excuses blaming the democrats and the republicans.

It is because they knew that pure “democracy” leads to mob rule, corruption, and inevitably ALWAYS to tyranny. So, yes, that was the intent. If you don’t like it, move to London. Their “democracy” is just beginning to take off!

To be honest, I expected this when Obama was in office. That fool even spoke to other world leaders about how archaic our Constitution is.

They're idiots. That's the one issue where I draw the line. The Constitution is what makes this place what it is. Without that, we lose basically everything that makes America great.

Our Founding Fathers were smart men, they had the forethought to write it, and set it into place in order to keep out government over reach and the citizens free.

So when exactly is the revolution? Oh, hold on, I've got a football game to watch. We might get together tomorrow. Oh, nope, American Ninja Warrior is on. Yeah, maybe we'll see about next year.

Give me a break!
As a human being, it is my duty to question everything and everyone.

Anyone who blindly accepts what is shown or told to them without asking a single question is a fool.

You're either free or you're a slave, there's zero middle ground.

Lonestar, your first, initial-sentence is really key here.

The people the Constitution was written to protect us against are the ones actively trying to turn the document into "an obsolete piece of trash written by a bunch of drunken slave owners."

There are some very subtle, subliminal tactics being used here. A person with anything under 110 IQ is going to miss 99% of the propaganda being used in 2018.

Some of the nastiest tactics ever used are being used right now and that was helped along with by the introduction of internet and social media.

They are mad that the framers wrote it in such a way as to protect us from assholes like them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Think the Constitution Will Save Us? Think Again

The subversion of democracy was the explicit intent of the framers.

Consider a few facts: Donald Trump is in the White House, despite winning almost three million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton. The Senate, the country’s most powerful legislative chamber, grants the same representation to Wyoming’s 579,315 residents as it does to 39,536,653 Californians. Key voting rights are denied to citizens in the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and other United States territories. The American government is structured by an 18th-century text that is almost impossible to change.

These ills didn’t come about by accident; the subversion of democracy was the explicit intent of the Constitution’s framers. For James Madison, writing in Federalist No. 10, “Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention” incompatible with the rights of property owners. The byzantine Constitution he helped create serves as the foundation for a system of government that rules over people, rather than an evolving tool for popular self-government.

Re: NYT: The Constitution Is An Out-Dated, Anti-Democratic Relic
The Constitution IS NOT DEMOCRATIC at all! DUH.....

We have a Constitutional Republic. NEVER a democracy.

The Constitution IS NOT MEANT to save us by itself. It is meant so that WE, The People- THAT WE SAVE OURSELVES by outlining and codifying our Natural RIGHTS, given us by our Creator! EVERY STATE CONSTITUTION has in the very first line thanks to the Creator. Each one is different, but there it is.

That NO MAN/NO ONE can take those Rights away, EVER!

If they try, the 2nd Amendment is specifically FOR THE PURPOSE OF KEEPING THOSE RIGHT. (after all other forms have been exhausted)

If the Constitution is banned, then ALL AUTHORITY is NULL & VOID. The USA will not have a Legislature, Judicial or Executive Branches. No official military. No official police/FBI or any other agency. NO RULE OF LAW. The Constitution is the reason for being-of the USA. It is our foundation, which is why the commie baby-killers want to destroy it so badly-they foam at the mouth about it, and must (eventually) be put down like the rabid dogs they are.

Without it we are in anarchy.

Those that choose to work for banning our Constitution are a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER to WE, THE PEOPLE.

And to the REPUBLIC for which it stands...one nation...etc..

Funny how they think this is "democracy".

Humanity isnt involved enough in its own stewardship to have an actual democracy.

One person one vote all the time.

However, the upcoming world will NOT be a republic nor democracy..

It will be a "dont break these rules or youll be deadocracy"

Or something like that.

All hoomans better get on board with that and stop with all the bs. Then maybe it doesnt have to go "that way".

But they won't.

Because they're to busy having opinions, instead of living a life how its meant to be lived...Society is a prison and the truth, the only cure. Cant get around it, no matter how hard one tries.

Otherwise it wouldnt be the truth.

Would it.

Lol read the bottom of the article

“This article is part of the Opinion Today newsletter. David Leonhardt, the newsletter’s author, is on a break until Aug. 27. While he’s gone, several outside writers are taking his place. This week’s authors are Meagan Day, a writer for the socialist magazine Jacobin, and Bhaskar Sunkara, the magazine’s editor. You can sign up here to receive the newsleter”

So I guess at the New York Times when someone goes on vacation they let their socialist writers jump in and act a fool. Same paper where it’s ok to hate white people and it’s not considered racist at all.

The NYT has dummies writing for them. The Senate originally represented STATE governments not the citizens of those states that is what the House is for. The Senators used to be selected by the State legislature, instead of elected by the citizens of the state, to represent the state legislature in Congress. That's why each state gets two and is not based on the population of the state.
