170 Voters in Ohio Race ‘Over 116 Years Old,’ World’s Oldest Person is 115 - Many Voters are 218 years old According to expert Eric Eggers, research director at the Government Accountability Institute, 170 registered voters in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District are listed as being “over 116 years old.” Considering that the world’s oldest living person is a 115-year-old resident of Japan, this is a big problem. In fact, many of the voters on Ohio’s rolls list their birthdays as Jan. 1, 1800, making them 218 years old. Clearly something is amiss. [ link to www.westernjournal.com (secure)] Every single one of the voters he lists has a recorded birthday of either 1/1/1900 or 1/1/1800. That suggests to me that they didn't know (or couldn't verify) their birthdate, not that there are a ton of fake centenarians in Ohio. Who would be voting in America nowadays who can't verify or approximate their birthdate? It's not like anyone now was born in the mid-1800s with their birth just recorded in the family bible.
